Restraint Assembly
The restraint assembly includes a mounting plate having a vertical slot. The plate covers an opening in a surface which is located to restrain a patient. An adapter buckle has a T stop which is releasably coupled to the vertical slot. The buckle includes an arm and a head. The head includes a horizontal slot for releasable receipt of a strap of the patient restraint. The arm includes an angular bend which positions the head relative to the plate during use. A lock may be used to prevent undesired separation of the buckle from the plate.
Patient securement system for the surgical trendelenburg position
A patient securing overlay is provided that includes a sheet of fabric for supporting a patient's torso on a surgical table. The sheet of fabric has an upper surface configured to face the patient and a lower surface configured to face a surgical table mattress or underbody support. The sheet of fabric includes friction enhancing elements applied to at least a portion of the upper surface thereof. The sheet of fabric can include an extension at a foot end of the sheet of fabric that provides material to be tucked under a foot end of the surgical table mattress or underbody support for securing the foot end of the sheet of fabric to the surgical table mattress or underbody support. The extension can include one or more friction enhancing elements.
Adjuster For Use With Flexible Restraints
A harness system comprises one or more harness assemblies. Each harness assembly comprises a flexible restraint formed of a coated fabric. An adjuster is provided to adjust an effective length of the flexible restraint. The adjuster comprises a frame, a restraint guide, and a cam.

Hip spica cast application device
A hip spica cast application device for holding a patient's legs in a desired position while a spica cast is applied. The device includes an adjustable vertical post extending out of a base. Two extendable arms are pivotally attached to the top of the post. Each arm has a U-shaped leg holder at one end to receive and support a patient's thigh. A platform extends from a top of the vertical post for engagement with a table, such as a surgical table. During a hip spica casting procedure, the post length, arm length, and arm angles can be adjusted and locked in place to support and maintain the patient's legs at a desired position.
Method and Apparatus for Retention of Adipose Tissue
A tissue retention system to assist in maintaining adipose tissue on a patient in a displaced position during a medical procedure to provide access to a body region of the patient includes an anchor pad having a pad length and a pad width. The anchor pad may include a pad body with an adhesive surface thereon, the adhesive being configured to adhere to a patient's skin. The anchor pad also may include an opposing first attachment surface facing away from the adhesive surface. The tissue retention system also may include a tension member having a second attachment surface.
Removable Ligature Resistant Restraint Ring Receptacle
The removable restraint ring receptacle comprises a base for attachment to a furniture piece. The base adapted to receive a ligature resistant fastener. A restraint ring engaged by the fastener. The ligature resistant fastener may be a ball pin lock having a conical or rounded head. The head bearing against the restraint ring. The ligature resistant fastener further comprising a collar adapted to extend from the head to the base. The collar comprising a tapered outside surface adapted to span the gap between the head and the base when the ring is removed thereby providing a tapered protrusion to prevent the attachment of a ligature or snagging of clothes.

Flexible medical supports
A patient support is provided with a membrane made of a stretchable material. The membrane may be fixed in one embodiment to lateral supports and used as a patient's knee or calf support. During use, the membrane can stretch on the application of force by a patient, which stretch will reduce discomfort and pain and can also assist in preventing slippage of the patient during movement. The flexible membrane may be used also in patient slings and other supports.
Fixture for arm during medical treatment
A fixture for immobilizing an arm of a patient for insertion of a catheter for coronary investigation and intervention has a fixture board for insertion under a mattress carrying a patient. The fixture board further has a link for attaching an arm holder to the fixture board. The arm holder is arranged adjacent an elbow of the patient and has an arm support and a belt for attaching the arm to the arm support. In addition, a wrist holder is attached to the arm holder for supporting the wrist. The wrist holder may be sterilized and disposable. An instrument table is connected to said fixture board via a link. The distance between the arm holder and the fixture board may be adjustable.
