A signal device for maritime distress rescue and a surveillance device for maritime distress rescue are provided. The signal device for maritime distress rescue which is carried by a user aboard a vessel may include a first communicator configured to communicate with a surveillance device for maritime distress rescue of the vessel, a first position detector configured to generate first position information of the signal device at a predetermined time interval, and a first controller configured to receive second position information of the surveillance device from the surveillance device at a predetermined time interval and determine whether the first position information is within a safe area of the vessel that is set on the basis of the second position information. Accordingly, when a distress occurs, it is possible to transmit a distress signal without operating a switch while minimizing power consumption of the signal device.

EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
20230035593 · 2023-02-02 ·

An emergency notification system and method includes a mobile computing device having live transmissible location data and activation means for selectably transmitting an emergency signal, such as at least one touch activatable emergency button provided through a touchscreen display of the mobile computing device. When the user activates an emergency button, GPS location data from a GPS receiver of the mobile computing device may be automatically acquired. A video and/or audio recording may also be generated using a camera of the mobile computing device. The recorded video and location data is automatically transmitted from the mobile computing device to a remote data storage location and to an administrator who may provide emergency assistance to the user.

ELECTRONIC TAG
20220351602 · 2022-11-03 ·

An electronic tag can be secured to a body of a person. The electronic tag has an antenna which transmits or receives an electromagnetic signal. An inductive proximity sensor determines a proximity of a metallic object to the electronic tag, based on electromagnetic coupling between the inductive proximity sensor and the metallic object. The inductive proximity sensor determines, based on the proximity being below a proximity threshold, that a metallic object is attenuating the electromagnetic signal transmitted or received by the antenna.

Electronic system with integrated alerting and cooling mechanisms to save the life of an unattended child in a vehicle
20230086707 · 2023-03-23 ·

The invention describes a safety system for cooling air around a child in a car when an engine of the car is turned off, and a cooling mechanism of the safety system is automatically activated above a specified temperature when a child is left in the car. The safety system incorporates an audio alert, a visual alert, and a mechanism to send a distress signal or call to emergency services after two minutes after the car engine is turned off and the child is not removed from the car. An open-source Firmware code was used to control thermoelectric cooling via Arduino and an Android software code for emergency calls.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING LOCATION ALARM SERVICE OF ELECTRONIC DEVICE

An electronic device and method are disclosed. The electronic device includes a location detection circuit, a first wireless communication circuit configured to support short-range communication, a second wireless communication circuit, and at least one processor. The processor implements the method, including: receiving an advertising packet from an external device using the first wireless communication circuit, the advertising packet including identification information for the external device, acquiring a location of the electronic device using the location detection circuit, transmitting a first signal including the identification information of the external device and the acquired location to a server, using the second wireless communication circuit, receiving a second signal responsive to the first signal from the server via the second wireless communication circuit, the second signal including an alarm command for the external device, and transmitting the alarm command to the external device using the first wireless communication circuit.
