Body-worn alert system
A method and system are described for automated child monitoring. The system comprises wearable sensor device wirelessly connected to a mobile device. The system comprises sensors configured to detect environmental factors and activities of a child. In one or more embodiments, the activities may be one or more of drinking, vaping, smoking, driving and presence of a threat for a child. The system may be configured to determine real-time location of a wearer as well as contextual information. The sensor device is communicably coupled to one or more mobile devices, additional wearable devices or fixed units. The mobile device is configured to control one or more operations of the inconspicuous wearable device.
FINGERPRINT READER CHILD TRACKING SYSTEM
A child tracking system includes an electronic device that may be manipulated. A pair of tracking units is provided. Each of the tracking units may be worn by an associated one of an adult and a child. Each of the tracking units may be in communication with a global positioning satellite. Thus, a physical location corresponding to each of the tracking units may be identified. Each of the tracking units is in electrical communication with the electronic device. Thus, the electronic device may display the physical location corresponding to each of the tracking units. Each of the tracking units has a fingerprint reader to read fingerprints.
Tamper resistant one-time use wristband and clasp and algorithm to enhance the practical use of radio frequency for proximity between two or more entities
An electronic patient monitoring system and method of operation that includes one or more generally non-metal, tamper-resistant patient identification and monitoring devices, an observer transmitter/receiver device configured to receive and detect one or more beacon signals that exceed a predetermined threshold from at least one of the not easily removable patient identification and monitoring devices, set a time to hold open a window for a response on the transmitter/receiver device, and send a request for information to the observer with the transmitter/receiver device, and a central computer system. Each of the transmitter/receiver device and the central computer system, including, at least, a computer processor, communications components and system software to communicate with the observer transmitter/receiver device at specified/predetermined time intervals to receive observer- and patient-specific information.
Apparatus and method to collect device information published in past times via a network of gateways
Gateways transfer data between publishers and subscribers. Upon receiving an acquisition request for acquiring device-information from a subscriber, a first gateway stores, as routing-information, a matching condition for transferring device-information and a transfer-destination address, and transfers the acquisition request. Upon receiving device-information issued by a publisher, the second gateway stores the device-information in association with a reception time of the device-information, adds, to the routing information, a matching result including a source address of the device-information and the reception time, and transfers the device-information through gateways to the first gateway, according to the routing information. When the acquisition request includes a time condition related to past time, the first gateway generates an accumulating area for accumulating device-information, and when device-information is acquired in response to the acquisition request, accumulates the acquired device-information in the accumulating area, and transmits the accumulated device-information to the subscriber after a predetermined time has elapsed.
MOBILE COMMUNICATION DEVICE FOR HOME AUTOMATION
A mobile communication devices operates to: generate first control data to control an auxiliary device coupled to one of a plurality of home automation devices; establish a group of the plurality of home automation devices; establish at least one task associated with the group of the plurality of home automation devices; receive selection of the at least one task associated with the group of the plurality of home automation devices; and generate second control data in response to selection of the at least one task associated with the group, wherein, responsive to the selection of the at least one task associated with the group, at least one of the plurality of wireless transceivers transmits the second control data to the group of the plurality of home automation devices to control, in accordance with the at least one task, each of the auxiliary devices coupled thereto.
Security Tracking Device With Zone-Based Alert Suppression
A method of triggering a security alert using a tracking device, including detecting motion using a motion sensor of the tracking device, determining that the detected motion meets a motion threshold, detecting one or more wireless access points in proximity to the tracking device, determining that the one or more wireless access points do not correspond to a recognized wireless access point, and in accordance with the determination that the one or more detected wireless access points do not correspond to a recognized wireless access point, triggering a security alert.
Location Positioning System
A location positioning system notifies of a message by a method according to a situation of a subject while grasping a location of the subject to be watched. The system includes a subject terminal carried by the subject, a server, a judgement unit, and a determination unit. The subject terminal transmits identification information for specifying a location of the terminal through a wireless communication and receives a message directed to the subject, and notifies the subject of reception of the message by at least one output method. The server specifies the location of the subject terminal based on the identification information. The judgement unit judges whether the subject is present indoors or outdoors, based on the location of the subject terminal specified by the server and the map information stored in advance. The determination unit determines an output method of notification by the subject terminal according to the judgement result.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROTECTING RETAIL DISPLAY MERCHANDISE FROM THEFT
Security systems and methods configured for use with an item of merchandise for retail display include a housing, at least one sensor carried by the housing and at least one output device carried by the housing. The security system further includes a controller carried by the housing and operably coupled to the sensor and to the output device. The controller is operable to determine a distance traveled by the item of merchandise from a retail display “home” position based upon a sensor input from the sensor, and to activate the output device based upon the distance traveled by the item of merchandise exceeding a threshold distance. The controller may utilize the at least one sensor in conjunction with an inertial navigation system (INS) and motion processing algorithms or techniques to determine the distance traveled by the item of merchandise from the retail display “home” position.
Wireless device and methods for use in a paging network
A wireless device includes a user interface that generates a pairing signal in response to an indication from a user to pair the wireless device to at least one remote device and generates a first location request signal in response to a second indication from a user to locate the at least one remote device. A short-range wireless transceiver communicates RF signals to pair the wireless device to the at least one remote device and that transmits a first RF paging signal to the at least one remote device in response to the location request signal.
Drowning prevention and soothing device
A wearable combination drowning prevention and soothing device is operable in either a drowning prevention mode or a soothing mode. In the drowning prevention mode the device monitors a wearer's heart rate and a moisture sensor to determine when, and how long, the device is submerged. Upon occurrence of a condition of those parameters meeting a predefined state consistent with distress, the device transmits an alert signal to an associated mobile device. In the soothing mode the device likewise monitors the wearer's heartrate as well as movements, and upon an indication in those monitored parameter that the wearer may be agitated, the device plays selected audio over a speaker of the device in an attempt to soothe the wearer.
