PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT SAFETY SYSTEM USING CONTEXTUAL INFORMATION FROM INDUSTRIAL CONTROL SYSTEMS
In some examples, a system includes an article of personal protective equipment (PPE) that includes a communication component; an industrial controller device that is configured to control an industrial device and includes a communication component; and a computing device communicatively coupled to the article of PPE and the industrial controller device, wherein the computing device is configured to: receive PPE data from the article of PPE and industrial controller data from the industrial controller device; determine, based at least in part on a set of the PPE data that temporally corresponds to a set of the industrial controller data, an occurrence of a safety event; and perform, based at least in part on the determination of the safety event, at least one operation.
Method and system for detecting people on the ground
In a method for detecting people on a floor, at least three electrodes are integrated into the floor of the room that is to be monitored. Respective measurement axes are taken into account and associated with multiple pairs of electrodes integrated into the floor. The detection method includes the following steps: for each pair of electrodes, measuring a capacitance between the two electrodes of the pair; positioning a measurement point in a coordinate system defined by N of the measurement axes at coordinates provided by the capacitances measured for the pairs of electrodes respectively associated with the N measurement axes, where N is a number greater than 1; and detecting whether a person is lying on the floor according to a detection criterion that is function of the position of the measurement point in the coordinate system.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PREDICTIVE ENVIRONMENTAL FALL RISK IDENTIFICATION
In various exemplary embodiments the present technology is methods for predictive environmental fall risk identification for a user. In some embodiments the method comprises: (a) receiving dynamic observations of an environmental map using a sensor; (b) determining the environmental map; (c) collecting a set of risk factors for the environmental map using the sensor; (d) assessing the set of risk factors for the environmental map for the user; (e) creating a first training set comprising the collected set of risk factors; (f) training an artificial neural network in a first stage using the first training set; (g) creating a second training set for a second stage of training comprising the first training set and the dynamic observations of the environmental map; (h) training the artificial neural network in the second stage using the second training set; (i) predicting a fall risk of the user using the artificial neural network; and (j) sending an alert to the user based on the dynamic observations of the environmental map and the fall risk of the user.
DATA COLLECTING HEAD GUARD SYSTEMS AND METHODS THEREOF
A head guard is provided. The head guard includes one or more sensors as part of an sensory input and communications system. The head guard wirelessly communicates data to remote computing devices for intelligent data collection.
HOME AUTOMATION SYSTEM INCLUDING CHANGED CURRENT USAGE NOTIFICATION AND RELATED METHODS
A home automation (HA) system may include at least one HA operation device within a restroom of a user living area and an HA hub device to provide communications for the at least one HA operation device. The HA system may also include at least one controller configured to store historical operational data for the at least one HA operation device based upon a user within the restroom, and monitor operation of the at least one HA operation device, and determine therefrom whether current usage of the restroom has changed based upon the historical operational data. The at least one controller may be configured to generate a notification based upon the historical operations data and the determined current usage of the restroom.
Contactless magnetic probe sensing and impedance imaging of liquid and solid excrement in diapers and other underclothing
A system, apparatus, and method for detecting the presence and amount of liquid and/or solid excrement in diapers or other undergarments, using a miniature ultra-low power near-field electromagnetic probe, applicable circuitry, and additional sensor types, that is hand-held or attached to the outside of said garments
HOME AUTOMATION CONTROL SYSTEM
A voice resolver unit processes audio data. The unit includes a noise detection and cancellation module operative on the audio data, a voice recognition engine to recognize voice in the output of the noise detection and cancellation module, a noise model scorer to match received audio data against at least two noise models to determine the type or types of noise in the audio data and a recognition analyzer to analyze the quality of the output of the recognition engine as a function of the operation of the noise detection and cancellation module according to the type or types of noise detected. The voice resolver may be used in an automation unit for a premises and an alarm system.
ACTIVE SHOOTER EMERGENCY RESPONSE SYSTEM WITH INTELLIGENT FIREARM VAULTS
An active shooter emergency response system includes a plurality of first lighting elements within a building that emit a first color of light in response to detection of a gunshot. The system also includes a plurality of second lighting elements within the building and spaced from the plurality of first lighting elements that emit a second color of light in response to the detection of the gunshot.
Data collecting head guard systems and methods thereof
A head guard is provided. The head guard includes one or more sensors as part of an sensory input and communications system. The head guard wirelessly communicates data to remote computing devices for intelligent data collection.
Alarm system
An alarm system comprises at least one sensor device and a remote server; wherein the sensor device comprises at least one sensor which provides sensor data; and a sensor module which is adapted to transmit the data independently and directly to the remote server, wherein the data are only evaluated in the server, without or without storage of the data and the server triggers an alarm, if the sensor data exceed a predetermined threshold value.
