System for a pool including visual light communication and related methods
A system used to monitor and control a pool using a visual light communication system is disclosed.
System and method for monitoring a spatial position of a mobile transmitter, man-over-board detection system
A system and method for monitoring a spatial position of a mobile transmitter is provided. In particular, the mobile transmitter may be attached to or included in an object of interest. By analyzing the signal strengths of radio frequency signals emitted by the transmitter, a spatial position of the mobile transmitter can be determined, and it is possible to detect whether or not the spatial position of the mobile transmitter is outside an allowable area. By applying the monitoring of the spatial position to a radio frequency system on a vessel, a reliable man-over-board detection can be achieved.
REAL-TIME SAFETY DETECTION AND ALERTING
Real-time detection and alerting for swimming pool safety includes obtaining signals from sensor devices installed in a swimming pool area having a swimming pool, ascertaining, based on the obtained signals, that an individual has entered the swimming pool and identifying, based on the obtained signals, characteristics of the individual who has entered the swimming pool, determining whether to raise an alert about the individual having entered the swimming pool, the determining being based at least in part on location of one or more other individuals relative to the swimming pool area and on checking pre-configured parameters for alerting, and performing processing based on the determining whether to raise an alert.
System for visual light communication and related methods
A visual light communication system is disclosed.
Methods and systems optimizing swimming pool and restaurant service operations by utilizing occupancy detection device
The present invention disclose an occupancy detection device and related system and method for detecting presence of at least one person at or near a table or in a swimming pool with at least one sensor indicating an occupancy status locally with at least one light source and communicating it to at least one mobile device by means of at least one wireless communication method. The occupancy detection device, with the use of at least one sensor, at least one additional status is communicated to at least one mobile device. A plurality of occupancy detectors can be connected in a mesh or a star network and communicate to at least one mobile device by a wireless communication method or combinations of a wired and a wireless communication methods.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SAFETY MONITORING OF A BODY OF WATER
Systems and methods for the safety monitoring of a body of water. The system comprises one or more image capturing units mounted outside a body of water and overlooking the area of the body of water, as well as a processing unit enabling real-time detection and tracking of objects. The processing can be performed either on the actual image capturing unit, a network video recorder device or on a cloud device. The system utilizes deep learning algorithms, including artificial neural networks, that perform video analytics using a method comprising the following steps: a. the areas of interest around the body of water are defined upon initial set up of the system; in a man-made body of water, the area surrounding the pool would be defined as Area 1 and the pool itself would be defined as Area 2; in the context of the ocean, such interest areas are the beach area, ocean and any other pre-defined areas; b. in each frame the system extracts features and uses the deep learning, algorithms to identify if the image consists of a person and/or object defined by the system; this analysis is performed in real-time with no time delay; c. the system recognizes and distinguishes between different types of objects, as well as stationary objects; d. the identification and classification of each object is then cross referenced with the specific location of the object as recognized by the system and the areas of interest as outlined in point a above.
SYSTEM FOR VISUAL LIGHT COMMUNICATION AND RELATED METHODS
A visual light communication system is disclosed.
Child safety boundary alarm system
A child safety boundary alarm system, for warning caregivers of a dangerous situation when a child passes a boundary near a hazard such as a swimming pool. The system includes a base unit, an auxiliary unit, and a bracelet worn by the child. The caregivers have portable electronic devices. The base unit and auxiliary unit have annunciators and the system is connected to a computer network. When the base unit determines that the child has crossed the boundary, audible and visual warnings are generated by the annunciators and notifications are provided to the electronic devices of the caregivers using the computer network.
Water safety monitoring systems and related methods
A system for reducing a risk of drowning in a pool includes a pool monitoring unit and a swim monitoring station. The pool monitoring unit is switchable between an activated state and a deactivated state. The pool monitoring unit is configured to detect entrance into the pool and/or movement in the pool and to output an alarm signal in response a detected entrance into the pool and/or movement in the pool when in the activated state. The swim monitoring station is configured to wirelessly communicate with one or more wearable alarm devices and the swim monitoring station is in wireless communication with the pool monitoring unit. The swim monitoring station is switchable between an off state and an on state. In the on state, the swim monitoring station is configured send a wireless signal to the pool monitoring unit to deactivate the pool monitoring unit.
Systems, methods and computer program products for detecting a presence of an object in a body of water
A method for detecting a presence of an object in an image comprising a pool region includes receiving an infrared image from an image sensor; identifying an area of substantially homogeneous temperature and having an outer perimeter; defining the pool region in the infrared image in response to the identified area of substantially homogeneous temperature and having an outer perimeter; identifying an object in the infrared image; and triggering an alarm in response to a predefined change in position of the object with respect to the pool region.
