Emergency Rescue Locator
An emergency rescue locator for locating persons and pets in the water is provided. The emergency rescue locator comprises a life jacket having a front side and a rear side and a locating system mounted to the life jacket. The locating system comprises an inflatable pole having a first end and a second end and an inflating mechanism in fluid communication with the first end of the pole. Upon the locating system becoming immersed in the water, the inflating mechanism instantly and automatically activates to inflate the pole causing the second end of the pole to be positioned at a point above a water surface. The locating system immediately and continuously pinpoints the persons' or pets' location until rescued.
WARNING NOTIFICATION DEVICE, ELECTRONIC WATCH, WARNING METHOD AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A warning notification device includes a sensor, a notification unit, and a processor. The processor is configured to calculate a water depth from an output of the sensor every predetermined time and to calculate a surfacing amount from a change in the calculated water depth every predetermined time. When a long-term surfacing speed condition, which is to be determined on the basis of the surfacing amounts of a first number, is satisfied or when a short-term surfacing speed condition, which is to be determined on the basis of the recent surfacing amounts of a second number smaller than the first number, is satisfied, the processor enables the notification unit to issue a warning of a surfacing operation.
Emergency Device To Be Worn By Divers
It is described an emergency device (100) for divers comprising a watertight case (101) structured to assume a submerged position and an emerged position. The watertight case includes: a depth sensor (102) configured to determine a depth value associated with the submerged position assumed by the emergency device when a user activates an emergency procedure; a positioning device (103) configured to determine a geographic position, including latitude and longitude, assumed by the emergency device (100) in the emerged position; a GSM or satellite telephone transmitter/receiver (104) configured to transmit an emergency message comprising said depth value and said geographic position.
Personal safety tracking using an apparatus comprising multiple sensors
A system and method for facilitating personal safety tracking monitoring via an apparatus with multiple sensors are disclosed. The sensors may include a water sensor, an accelerometer, a water pressure sensor, an ambient temperature sensor, and/or any other sensors. The apparatus may be configured to generate various alerts in response to signals generated by the sensors. For example, the apparatus may generate a drowning alert when a submersion signal is generated and a drowning acceleration signature is detected in the same period. As another example, an abduction alert may be generated when an abduction acceleration signature and an out-of-boundary situation is detected for the apparatus. The alerts generated by the apparatus may be transmitted to a server or a client device associated with the apparatus for further processing, which may include generating a notification for presentation on the client device in response to an alert being received from the apparatus.
Communication system for underwater lifesaving and method for identifying person in water
A communication system for underwater lifesaving and a method for locating a person immersed in water. The communication system for underwater lifesaving includes: a water immersion signal generation unit that is worn on the body of a user, detects whether the user is immersed in water, and generates a water immersion detection signal corresponding to the user when water immersion is detected; and a water immersion signal reception unit that receives a water immersion detection signal generated by the water immersion signal generation unit and analyzes the location of the user in response to a water immersion detection signal being received.
Wearable Safety Device for Swimming
This present invention relates to a safety wearable device such as a band for wrist, ankle, or neck, which is designed to alert others if an individual is drowning or struggling in a pool or other body of water. The safety wearable device comprises a display screen, GPS chipset, and various other sensors to monitor the vital signs of the wearer, and in case the wearer is submerged for an extended period of time in the body of water, the device is used to alert parents, caretakers or other individuals having a companion software application installed on their electronic devices. The safety wearable device can also be used to locate children or other individuals who wander off or become lost.
DROWNING PREVENTION AND SOOTHING DEVICE
A wearable combination drowning prevention and soothing device is operable in either a drowning prevention mode or a soothing mode. In the drowning prevention mode the device monitors a wearer's heart rate and a moisture sensor to determine when, and how long, the device is submerged. Upon occurrence of a condition of those parameters meeting a predefined state consistent with distress, the device transmits an alert signal to an associated mobile device. In the soothing mode the device likewise monitors the wearer's heartrate as well as movements, and upon an indication in those monitored parameter that the wearer may be agitated, the device plays selected audio over a speaker of the device in an attempt to soothe the wearer.
Water activated GPS-based beacon
The water activated GPS-based beacon is a radio based transmitter that is configured for outdoor activities. The water activated GPS-based beacon is a safety device that is worn during outdoor activities. The water activated GPS-based beacon is housed in a jewelry item that is worn during the outdoor activity. The water activated GPS-based beacon remains dormant until: 1) the water activated GPS-based beacon is immersed in water; or 2) a switch located on the jewelry item is activated. If either of these conditions occur, the water activated GPS-based beacon determines the GPS coordinates of the water activated GPS-based beacon and transmits the GPS coordinates to a previously determined appropriate authority. The water activated GPS-based beacon comprises the jewelry item and a beacon.
Dive computer incorporating stored dive site information
Dive computers in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed that store information concerning a dive site. The stored information can be accessed during the dive to provide information concerning such things as points of interest and/or hazards. One embodiment of the invention includes a processor, memory connected to the processor, a pressure transducer connected to the processor and configured to measure depth, and a display connected to the processor. In addition, the memory contains factual information concerning a dive site, and the processor is configured to display at least a portion of the stored factual information concerning the dive site via the display.
ALARM ARRANGEMENT
An alarm arrangement may include a transmitter unit configured to be attached to a user's body. The transmitter unit may have a housing containing operatively connected electronic circuitry components, and water activated electrical contacts outside the housing for causing energization of the electronic circuitry when coming into contact with water so as to emit a chirp operative signal when the transmitter unit enters into water in a water zone being monitored by the alarm arrangement. A receiver unit may have a housing containing operatively connected electronic circuitry components and water activated electrical contacts outside the housing for causing energization of the electronic circuitry when coming into contact with water. The receiver unit may detect an operative signal from the transmitter unit when the transmitter unit comes into contact with water, and the receiver unit may then be configured to emit a suitable alarm signal.
