System and method for interactive security
A home security system includes interactive sensors and a controller in a controlled environment, such as a smart home environment. A central communication device is coupled, wired or wirelessly, directly or indirectly, to the interactive sensors and the controller. The interactive sensors include at least one heartbeat sensor to detect the presence of one or more human bodies and at least one emergency condition sensor to detect the presence of an emergency condition. In some implementations, the controller may determine the number of occupants based on the heartbeats of multiple human bodies detected by the heartbeat sensor. In some implementations, the number of occupants may be determined by the heartbeats detected by the heartbeat sensor in conjunction with one or more other types of sensors, such as a body heat sensor.
EVACUATION SYSTEM
A system includes a first sensor configured to identify information regarding an emergency condition associated with a structure and a second sensor configured to identify an occupancy pattern regarding the structure. The system also includes a processor operatively coupled to the first sensor, the second sensor, and a transceiver. The processor is configured to determine a severity of the emergency condition based at least in part on the information regarding the emergency condition and prioritize rescues within the structure based at least in part on the occupancy pattern. The system also includes the transceiver which is configured to transmit an identification of the emergency condition, a location of the structure, the occupancy pattern, the prioritization of rescues, and the severity of the emergency condition.

Intercom system for emergency rescue
An intercom system for emergency rescue has a user extension, an administration server and a management device. The user extension has a serial number and is capable of generating an alarm signal by operation. The administration server connects to the user extension and the management device to receive the alarm signal. A plot plan recording a location of the user extension is stored in the administration server. The administration server transmits the plot plan with the location of the user extension that outputs the alarm signal to the management device to display. Therefore, an administrator equipped with the management device communicates with the user extension via a video connection established by the administration server. With the help of the plot plan and the video connection, the administrator provides timely assistance to reduce casualties.
Emergency alert system (EAS) ATSC alarms
A method for operating a consumer communication device is described including receiving content from a service provider, determining if the received content is an emergency alert system notification and communicating the emergency alert system notification to a communication device, if the received content is the emergency alert system notification. Further described is a method for operating an enhanced detection device including receiving an emergency alert system notification, determining if the emergency alert system notification is communicated best by means of sounding an alarm or by means of vocalizing the emergency alert system notification and communicating the emergency alert system notification through a protected structure by means of initiating an alarm or by means of verbalizing the emergency alert system notification.

Evacuation system
A method includes receiving, at a node located in a structure, an indication of an evacuation condition. The structure includes a plurality of nodes in communication with one another. The method also includes sending, by the node, a message to one or more additional nodes. The message informs the one or more additional nodes that the node is going to determine an evacuation route in response to the indication of the evacuation condition such that the one or more additional nodes do not determine the evacuation route. The method also includes determining, by the node, the evacuation route based at least in part on the indication of the evacuation condition and at least in part on a layout of the structure. The method further includes providing, by the node, the evacuation route to the one or more additional nodes.
