Gunshot Detection System Anti-Tampering Protection
A gunshot detection system provides anti-tampering protection for gunshot sensor units and a control panel. The control panel monitors for tampering events, including monitoring for changes to configuration settings. When the settings are changed, even by an authorized user, the control panel generates a tampering alert and sends the alert to an operator of the control panel and/or administrators for the gunshot detection system. A similar notification might also occur when a sensor is taken offline or when an anti-tamper sensor on a housing of the gunshot sensor unit detects manipulation or opening of the housing. The control panel also monitors for tampering using machine certificates associated with the gunshot sensor units. In one example, the gunshot sensor units sign event data using the machine certificates and an arbitrary reference number known to the control panel. The control panel then verifies the signed event data to detect tampering events.
Gunshot Detection Sensors Incorporated Into Building Management Devices
A gunshot detection system provides integration with building management systems installed in a common building. Distributed devices of the building management systems (e.g. light fixtures, smoke detectors, thermostats, exit signs) are positioned throughout the building, and gunshot sensor units of the gunshot detection system are incorporated with, attached to and/or combined with the building management distributed devices. The gunshot sensor units share a common housing with the distributed building management devices, attach to the devices via attachment mechanisms, and/or are incorporated into hybrid devices that include gunshot sensor and building management elements. The gunshot sensor units might comprise reflectors for collecting and focusing sound waves onto microphones of the gunshot sensor units. These reflectors could be existing parts of building management devices, or common housings for the gunshot sensor units and the building management devices, and/or parts of the gunshot sensor units independent of the building management devices.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR GENERATING SENSOR ALERTS BASED ON CONTINUOUS ADJUSTMENT OF A NORMAL STATE OF A SENSOR
In certain embodiments, continuous adjustment of a normal state of a sensor and reducing false positive floor sensor alerts may be facilitated. In some embodiments, wavelength readings may be continuously obtained from a floor sensor. A normal state of the floor sensor may be continuously adjusted based on wavelength readings that fail to satisfy upper and lower wavelength thresholds of the continuously adjusted normal state. An event may be detected when one or more wavelength readings from the floor sensor satisfy the upper or lower wavelength thresholds of the continuously adjusted normal state. A number of wavelength readings that satisfy the upper or lower wavelength thresholds may be determined. A suspicious activity alert may be generated when the number of wavelength readings satisfies a predetermined count threshold.
REAL-TIME PLAYBACK MODIFICATION FOR ACTIVITY EVENT PLAYBACK
In certain embodiments, real-time playback modification for activity event playback may be facilitated. In some embodiments, an event list portion and an event playback portion may be provided on a user interface, where the event playback portion is configured to present a playback of events on a location map in accordance with event detection times and a set of event layers for the event playback. While the event playback is occurring, a user selection of events may be obtained via the event list portion of the user interface. While the event playback is occurring, a set of layers for the event playback may be modified based on the user selection. In some embodiments, based on the modification to the set of layers, event layers may be overlaid onto the location map of the event playback portion of the user interface.
Method and system for updating a medical device
The present disclosure includes methods, devices and systems for establishing a connection between a medical device and a remote computing device, receiving an upgrade command at the medical device, storing a current version of persistent data and a current version of executable code in a first storage area of the medical device, transmitting at least the current version of the persistent data to the remote computing device, receiving a second format of the current version of the persistent data and an upgraded version of executable code at the medical device, storing the second format of the current version of the persistent data and the upgraded version of the executable code in a second storage area of the medical device, and executing the upgraded version of the executable code with the second format of the current version of the persistent data.

Pick-up cargo bed capacitive sensor systems and methods
The disclosure is directed to a vehicle cargo bed capacitive sensor system programmed to determine when items in the cargo bed (e.g., the bed of a pickup truck) are being manipulated. The system may include one or more capacitive sensors disposed on one or more cargo bed walls. The system detects items exiting the cargo bed (e.g., by falling out of the cargo bed), and detects shifting cargo. The system may also detect a person reaching into the cargo bed, and can provide information such as the location where the cargo was taken or lost from the cargo bed, and live feed images of the intruding party. The system may automatically extend and contract the capacitive field to control sensor sensitivity, and adjust the sample rate of the sensor data based on characteristics of vehicle operation, such as drive mode, speed, GPS direction, and other factors.
EVALUATING MOVEMENT OF A SUBJECT
According to an aspect, there is provided a computer-implemented method for evaluating movement of a subject. The method comprises obtaining a first signal representing measurements of the subject from a first sensor; processing the first signal to determine a quality measure for the first signal; determining if the determined quality measure meets a first criterion; if the determined quality measure meets the first criterion, determining values for a plurality of features in a first feature set, the first feature set comprising one or more first features to be determined from the first signal, and evaluating the movement of the subject based on the values for the plurality of features in the first feature set; and, if the determined quality measure does not meet the first criterion, determining values for one or more features in a second feature set, wherein the one or more features in the second feature set are a subset of the plurality of features in the first feature set and the second feature set does not include at least one of the one or more first features in the first feature set, and evaluating the movement of the subject based on the values for the one or more features in the second feature set. A corresponding apparatus and computer program product are also provided.
Gunshot Detection System with Location Tracking
A gunshot detection system includes a control panel that receives event data from gunshot sensor units detecting gunshots and generates location information pertaining to a shooting event based on the event data. The control panel includes a display on which a graphical user interface (GUI) is rendered. The GUI displays maps of a building with icons overlaid on the maps based on the generated location information. In one example, the GUI displays a map with an icon representing the active shooter, the position of the icon with respect to the floorplan image corresponding to an area of the building. In another example, the GUI displays a map with icons representing different gunshot sensor units, the icons having different visual characteristics to indicate that the gunshot sensor units detected the gunshots and/or which of the gunshot sensor units was determined to be closest to the detected gunshots.
