There are provided an image capture portion, a luminance acquisition section, a luminance estimation section, and a capture mode setup section. The image capture portion cyclically captures a vehicle compartment. The luminance acquisition section acquires the luminance of a captured image captured by the image capture portion. The luminance estimation section estimates a cyclic change in the luminance of captured images to be captured subsequently. The capture mode setup section settles a capture mode for the image capture portion based on a result of estimating the cyclic change in the luminance of captured images.

Current sensing with internal ADC capacitor

External conditions, e.g., smoke, temperature, humidity, humidity, pressure, flow rate, etc., affects a sensor's characteristics, wherein the sensor provides a current output representative of its characteristics as affected by the external conditions. The current output of the sensor is coupled to a sample and hold capacitor for a precision time period thereby charging the sample and hold capacitor to a voltage proportional to current provided by the sensor over the precision time period. The voltage on the sample and hold capacitor is converted to a digital representation and a determination is made whether the external condition represents an alarm situation, e.g., smoke detected from a fire.

Methods, systems, and devices for predicting bed-exit of a patient are described. Methods may include receiving pressure data from a pressure sensor disposed under the patient, receiving accelerometry data from an accelerometer coupled with the patient, detecting movement of the patient based at least in part on the pressure data and the accelerometry data, and determining whether the detected movement is indicative of bed-exit based at least in part on the detected movement. Systems may include a pressure sensor configured to collect pressure data associated with movement of the patient, an accelerometer configured to collect accelerometry data associated with movement of the patient, and a central aggregator configured to determine whether the movement of the patient is indicative of bed-exit based at least in part on the collected pressure data and the collected accelerometry data.
