Vehicle parking monitoring systems and methods
Vehicle parking monitoring systems and methods are disclosed herein. An example method can include receiving images from a camera of a parking spot, each of the images being time stamped, determining presence of a vehicle in the images, placing a bounding area around a region of interest of the vehicle, the region of interest including no personally identifiable information, retaining the bounding area and discarding a remainder of the images, and determining when the vehicle is no longer present based on a change in the bounding area of the images.
Method for operating a charging station, for a motor vehicle, and corresponding charging station
The disclosure relates to a method for operating a charging station for a motor vehicle having an electric energy store, including an energy supply device for supplying electric energy for charging the energy store and including a parking area for parking the motor vehicle during the charging process. It is provided that the availability status of the parking area is monitored by a device monitoring the surroundings which operates independently of the energy supply device and is transmitted to a control center via a communication connection. The disclosure furthermore relates to a charging station for a motor vehicle having an electric energy store.
STATE ESTIMATION METHOD, STATE ESTIMATION APPARATUS AND PROGRAM
A state estimation method executed by a state estimation apparatus including a processor and a memory storing program instructions that cause the processor to estimate a state related to congestion on a subject lane, includes acquiring a state related to congestion of a monitoring vehicle traveling on a non-subject lane, counting a number of vehicles traveling on the subject lane, the vehicles being overtaken by the monitoring vehicle or being oncoming vehicles passed by the monitoring vehicle, and estimating the state related to the congestion on the subject lane, using the state related to the congestion of the monitoring vehicle and the number of vehicles. In the estimating, when the number of the vehicles is equal to or greater than a threshold value according to the state related to the congestion of the monitoring vehicle, the state related to the congestion on the subject lane is estimated as traffic congestion.
Remote provisioning of a drone resource
Remote provision of a drone resource is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) can generate a request for drone resources that can be employed to find an appropriate drone from a set of drones. The drone can be automatically provisioned to allow access to the drone resource in accord with the request. The set of drones can comprise different tiers of drones. A response can be generated indicating the state of provisioning a drone in accord with the request. The user equipment can make the request available to a drone allocation component via a communication framework that can comprise a wireless interface. Provisioning of the drone can similarly be accomplished via the communication framework. As such, the set of drones can be distributed and can be provisioned from a UE located remotely from the drone allocation component and/or the drones comprising the set of drones.
Control apparatus, system, vehicle, and vehicle control method
A control apparatus includes a controller configured to, upon detecting parking of a vehicle at a spot where parking is prohibited, generate control data for controlling the vehicle to prevent a state of the vehicle from transitioning to a state in which a power source of the vehicle is stopped and an occupant of the vehicle is out of the vehicle, and output the generated control data.
MONITORING DEVICE, AND MONITORING METHOD
To facilitate an operation check of a traffic signal.
Provided is a monitoring device comprising: a control information acquisition unit that acquires control information transmitted from a control center with respect to a traffic signal; a checking unit that checks whether the state of a lighting face of a lamp of the traffic signal captured by a camera is consistent with the control information; and a notification unit that transmits a notification to a predetermined apparatus if an abnormality is detected as a result of the checking.
SYSTEM FOR EVALUATING MONITORING PLAN, AND METHOD FOR EVALUATING MONITORING PLAN
This monitoring plan evaluation system includes a vehicle monitoring information acquisition unit which acquires vehicle monitoring information indicating a result of monitoring of a vehicle, the vehicle monitoring information including monitoring execution condition information indicating at least one of a monitoring place and a monitoring time of the vehicle and information of the vehicle that has been subjected to monitoring at the monitoring place or the monitoring time, a movement information acquisition unit which acquires vehicle movement information regarding movement of each of a plurality of vehicles, and a passage extent information generator which generates passage extent information, which indicates an extent of passage of a vehicle that is to be monitored in a condition indicated by a candidate monitoring execution condition including at least one of a place and a time where and when to monitor vehicles, on the basis of the vehicle movement information and the vehicle monitoring information.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ASSESSING THE CORRECTNESS OF INFORMATION TRANSMITTED BY A VEHICLE
The correctness of information transmitted by a vehicle is assessed. Vehicle information about vehicle characteristics of a vehicle is received, wherein a vehicle trust value is assigned to the vehicle. Detector information about the vehicle characteristics is received, which is based on a detection of the vehicle characteristics by at least one detector outside the vehicle, wherein a detector trust value is assigned to the detector. Then, the correctness of the vehicle information is assessed. A correctness value is assigned to the vehicle information, and the vehicle trust value is updated. The vehicle information may be discarded when the correctness value is too low. Vehicles with a high trust value may validate other vehicles, which may in turn validate even more vehicles. In this way, a chain of vehicles with a high trust value (or trusted vehicles) may be established.
APPARATUS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENHANCED VISUAL INSPECTION OF VEHICLE INTERIORS
Devices, systems, and methods enhance the inspection of internal areas and occupants of vehicles, and can employ one or more high-resolution cameras, one or more auxiliary illumination devices and a related computer system. According to various embodiments, an auxiliary illumination device can be synchronized to one or more cameras, and configured to supply auxiliary illumination to facilitate capture of accurate and usable images. Advanced image processing solutions assist with identifying individuals inside a vehicle, removing light glare and undesired reflections from a window surface, and capturing an image through a tinted window, among other things. Further, embodiments can compare a captured image to an authenticated image from a database, so as to confirm the identity of a vehicle occupant.
VEHICLE WITH EVENT RECORDING
A vehicle including: sensors, processor(s) configured to: make a primary detection; list objects located within a calculated focus area; mark the listed objects as partially identified or fully identified; estimate velocities of the partially identified objects; select connected vehicles based on the estimated velocities; instruct the connected vehicles to: record the partially identified objects, electronically deliver the recordings to an address.
