External-Catheter Kits With Step-By Step Instructions, And Methods Thereof
External catheters, external catheter-related components, external-catheter kits with step-by-step instructions, and methods thereof providing a standardized system for application and management of such catheters. In one embodiment, an external-catheter kit can include one or more external catheters, a cleansing kit, and step-by-step instructions for using the external-catheter kit. The cleansing kit can include one or more individually wrapped towelettes for at least anatomical cleansing before application of any external catheter of the one or more external catheters. The step-by-step instructions for using the external-catheter kit can include step-by-step instructions for the anatomical cleansing, external-catheter application, and external-catheter management subsequent to the external-catheter application. The one or more external catheters can be selected from male external catheters and female external catheters.
Ostomy pouch holding system
An ostomy pouch holding system that includes: a first hook; a second hook; a pouch holder, where the pouch holder includes a top opening adapted to receive an ostomy pouch; a bottom opening on the pouch holder; and loop connectors at the top edge, where the loop connectors are adapted to receive the first hook and the second hook. The first hook includes a first button and the second hook includes a second button. The loop connectors preferably include a first loop connector on a first side of the top edge and a second loop connector on a second side of the top edge. The pouch holder is preferably made of spandex. The first hook and second hook are adapted for placement on a waist of a trouser.
Artificial stoma device
An artificial stoma device includes a solid unit and a hollow unit. The solid unit includes a blocking member that is adapted to block off a downstream section of an intestine and that has a contacting face adapted for facing an upstream section of the intestine, and a first connecting member that is connected fixedly to the contacting face of the blocking member. The hollow unit includes a conduit that has an outer surrounding surface and two opposite conduit openings being adapted to be disposed respectively at the upstream section of the intestine and an opening of a skin tissue, and a second connecting member that is connected fixedly to the outer surrounding surface and that is detachably connected to the first connecting member of the solid unit.
EXCREMENT CARE ROBOT WITH PRECISION CONTROL FUNCTION OF ADJACENT REGION TO THE GENITALS FOR MAKING OPTIMAL ENVIRONMENT INSIDE WEARING PART OF BODY-FITTED TYPE TREATING APPARATUS
An excrement care robot includes: a body-fitted type treating apparatus including a body which has a shape corresponding to bends of the genitals and buttocks of the human body and is formed with a treatment space that is opened in a direction of the genitals and buttocks of the human body to receive excrement discharged from the human body, a discharge unit which is provided in the body and communicates with the treatment space to discharge the excrement of the treatment space to the outside, a sensor unit which is provided in the body to sense an environment condition in the treatment space including a temperature and a humidity, and an environment control unit which is provided in the body; and a motion analysis unit that receives the sensor data of the sensor unit.
PORTABLE URINAL DEVICE
A portable urinal device includes a base forming a liquid receptacle. Tubing extends from the base to a head member which can be positioned onto genitalia for urination. Suction is provided via a pump or vacuum device to suction urine from the head into the base receptacle.
Urine collection device
The present disclosure is related to devices for controlling the flow of urine primarily for bedridden patients while in a hospital setting. A device for protecting a patient from constant exposure to urine which may lead to discomfort, skin irritation, infection and subsequent death. The device is designed to secure the genitalia in a leak proof chamber and draw urine away from the skin.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR ANCHORING A SHEATH IN A TISSUE CAVITY
According to some embodiments of the invention, an anchoring system includes a sleeve having an inner surface defining a first lumen, a first annular sealing mechanism disposed at a proximal end of the sleeve, and a second annular sealing mechanism disposed at a distal end of the sleeve. The anchoring system further includes a pressure tube in fluid connection with an outer surface of the sleeve, a sheath in mechanical connection with the sleeve, the sheath forming a second lumen, the second lumen being in fluid connection with the first lumen, and open-cell foam disposed on the outer surface of the sleeve. Application of negative pressure to the pressure tube causes a seal to form between the first and second annular sealing mechanisms and an inner surface of a tissue cavity. Application of negative pressure to the pressure tube also creates a frictional force that resists displacement of the sleeve.
CATHETER ADAPTED BRIEFS
Catheter-adapted briefs operative to stabilize an indwelling urethra catheter in a position of alignment with the natural orientation of the male urethral orifice to minimize catheter discomfort, prevent urine leakage, tissue damage, and reduce the frequency of urinary track infection.
BOWEL WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USE
A bowel management system comprises a waste-transport device including a collection member for bowel drainage and an inflatable retention cuff mounted around the collection member to define fixed proximal and distal cuff-attachment locations on the surface of the collection member. System characteristics include: when the mounted cuff is inflated to a pressure of 10 cm H2O in free space, a maximum diameter of the cuff is greater than 30 mm, and when the mounted cuff is inflated in free space to a pressure of at least 25 cm H2O and at most 60 cm H2O, a maximum diameter of the cuff is at least 65 mm, and/or at least 1.5 times the maximum diameter of the cuff when inflated in free space to a pressure of at most 10 cm H2O.
