FLUID MANAGEMENT DEVICE FOR MEDICAL TUBES AND DRAINAGE INCISIONS
A device, system, kit, and method for managing the passage of fluid through an opening in the body of a patient that includes a fluid-containment receptacle including a collapsible sidewall, the fluid-containment receptacle having a first receptacle opening and a second receptacle opening positioned at opposite ends of the sidewall, the fluid-containment receptacle. The device also including a first flange extending radially outward from the sidewall and positioned at or adjacent to the first receptacle opening and a second flange extending radially outward from the sidewall at or adjacent to the second receptacle opening. The device is configured to be applied to the opening in the body of the patient such that the first opening and the first flange contact the body of the patient and form a fluid barrier around the opening.
ADJUSTABLE CONVEX OSTOMY DEVICE
Certain embodiments of the present application relate to an adjustable ostomy wafer system including an ostomy wafer and an insert ring 100. The ostomy wafer includes an adjustable layer with an effluent opening through which effluent flows, and the adjustable layer has a body-facing side and a non-body-facing side. The insert ring 100 is capable of providing or increasing convexity of the adjustable layer when the insert ring 100 is pressed against the non-body-facing side of the adjustable layer.
DRAINABLE OSTOMY APPLIANCE
A drainable ostomy appliance including: first and second walls connected to each other at or near their peripheries, the first wall having a stoma-receiving opening; a collecting cavity defined between the first and second walls; a connection member connected to the first wall for attaching the appliance to a user or for attaching the appliance to a flange for attaching the appliance to a user; an outlet which extends away from the stoma-receiving opening, the outlet terminating at an opening; and a first stiffening member positioned immediately adjacent the opening on a wall of the outlet facing the user, in use, the first stiffening member extending across the outlet; and a second stiffening member positioned next to the first stiffening member, further away from the outlet than the first stiffening member and on the same wall as the first stiffening member, the second stiffening member also extending across the outlet.
Stoma prolapse prosthesis
A stoma-prolapse prosthesis includes a single plastic piece configured as two flexible open rings with spokes tied together at their centers by a central stem. When in place for use, one of the two flexible open rings is collapsed between the fingers and inserted inside the stoma and pushed through to the interior of the abdominal wall. The central stem is sized to be just long enough to match the thickness of the abdominal wall around the stoma. The other of the two flexible open rings self-locks around the perimeter of the stoma on the outside skin surface. The inside one of the two flexible open rings takes up the tissue slack caused by the prolapse, and the spokes inside block the bowel tissues from pushing through.
OSTOMY FACEPLATE INCLUDING INVERTIBLE STOMA COLLAR
A faceplate assembly for an ostomy pouch system including an invertible stoma collar is provided. The invertible stoma collar protrudes toward a stoma and defines an inlet opening. The invertible stoma collar is formed from a flexible material having an elastic memory, such that the stoma collar hugs the stoma as the stoma is received through the inlet opening, and becomes inverted. The inverted stoma collar has a tendency to regain its original shape, and thus, applies sufficient pressure to seal around the stoma without strangulating the stoma.
STOMA SITE PROTECTION DEVICES AND METHODS
Stoma site protection devices, kits, assemblies and methods are provided that prevent or minimize leakage from a stoma. A stoma site protection device includes a conformal plug that can adapt to the stoma track. Kits and assemblies include additional components such as flexible external bumpers and bandages that provide multiple sealing of the stoma.
Ostomy faceplate including invertible stoma collar
A faceplate assembly (14) for an ostomy pouch system (10) including an invertible stoma collar (38) is provided.
OSTOMY APPLIANCE FOR PROVIDING CUSTOMIZED AND LOCALIZED CONVEX SUPPORT
An ostomy appliance that comprises a ring member and a rib member. The ring member has an interior surface and an engagement portion encircling a centrally-located input opening. The engagement portion comprises a plurality of spaced-apart flexible tabs extending radially inward into the input opening. The flexible tabs have an opening centrally located between opposing side edges. A plurality of spaced-apart teeth extend radially inward from the ring member. The teeth are in alignment with spaces between the plurality of flexible tabs. The rib member has a curved body portion, a dowel, pins and a notched section in the body portion. The rib member is removably securable to the ring member whereby the pins are insertable into openings of adjacent flexible tabs and one of the plurality of spaced-apart teeth is received within the notched section such that the notched section is seated on the inside surface of the tooth.

Adjustable convexity ostomy barrier
An ostomy barrier appliance for attaching an ostomy appliance to peristomal skin surrounding a stoma is provided. The ostomy barrier appliance includes a skin barrier, an inlet opening for receiving a stoma, and a convexity adjusting device arranged adjacent the skin barrier. The convexity adjusting device is configured to adjust the convexity of the skin barrier.
