VEHICULAR DRIVER PROFILES AND DISCOUNTS

Systems and methods are described for determining a driving score for an individual and updating a related vehicle-usage profile. The system and methods may include one or more processors, sensors, or transceivers to determine that an individual associated with an auto insurance policy is located in a driver seat of a vehicle for a vehicle trip. Telematics data may be collected from the sensors that indicates a time of day and an amount of time that the individual typically drives the vehicle. The telematics may be associated with the individual and a driving score for the individual may be determined. A vehicle-usage profile for the vehicle may then be updated with the telematics data or the driving score. The vehicle-usage profile may indicate a driving behavior of the individual and an auto insurance policy may be updated based on the profile.

An information system includes an in-vehicle terminal that is mounted on a host vehicle and a server that communicates with the in-vehicle terminal. The server includes a running history DB in which a running history of the host vehicle is stored for each driver, a driving skill-level determination unit, a driving skill-level DB in which a driving skill-level determined by the driving skill-level determination unit is stored, and a distribution information control unit that distributes driving assistance information based on the driving skill-level stored in the driving skill-level DB to the in-vehicle terminal. The driving skill-level determination unit determines a driving skill-level of a driver based on the running history stored in the running history DB and a driving skill element definition list representing a difficulty level of driving predefined for each driving skill element.

According to the present disclosure, there is provided an information processing apparatus including: an acquisition unit (102) that acquires a log related to driving on a driving simulator and acquires a transition time period for mode switching obtained corresponding to the log; a learning unit (104) that learns a relationship between the log and the transition time period; and a calculation unit (302) that calculates the transition time period corresponding to a certain driving state based on a learning result of the learning unit.

ELECTRIC VEHICLE BATTERY CONSERVATION

Systems and methods are described for performing vehicular collision reconstruction and battery conservation for an electric or battery-powered vehicle. In various aspects, an indication of a trigger event may be detected from computer analysis of telematics data gathered by one or more sensors associated with a vehicle. The trigger event may be associated with a vehicle collision. A camera mounted on the vehicle may be activated, based upon the indication of the trigger event, to acquire an image of a second vehicle associated with the vehicle collision. Image data associated with the image may then be transmitted to a remote server computer for analysis of the image data, in which the remove server is capable of generating from the image data, a reconstruction of the vehicle collision, and determining, from the reconstruction of the vehicle collision, a cause of loss associated with the vehicle collision.
