The present invention generally relates to a carrying and cleaning case for a menstrual cup. In particular, the carrying and cleaning case for a menstrual cup is configured with at least two, but preferably three, segments comprising of a cleaning segment and a drying segment. The exterior of the case is configured with finger grips to prevent slippage.

Female urinary catheter deployment devices and methods of using the same

A female urinary catheter deployment device includes a housing, an inner tip, an outer tip, a catheter, and an actuator. The outer tip is moved into the vicinity of the urethral opening of a female urethra. The outer tip is then moved from a closed condition to an open condition so as to expose a proximal end of the inner tip and position the proximal end of the inner tip within the urethra. The actuator is then moved with respect to the housing so as to proximally advance a proximal end of the catheter through and out of the proximal end of the inner tip and into the urethra. The proximal end of the catheter is further advanced through the urethra and into the bladder so as to drain urine from the bladder, through the catheter, and out of the housing.

The menstrual cup includes an upper opening and a receptacle having a body with a curved longitudinal shape and a base. The cup extends longitudinally from the opening to the base and has an inner surface corresponding to the concave portion of the receptacle, and an outer surface corresponding to the convex portion of the receptacle. The body includes at least one hollow longitudinal groove on the inner surface of the body and at least one solid longitudinal groove on the outer surface of the body, aligned with the hollow longitudinal groove on the inner surface. The invention also relates to an associated kit and a method for disinfecting the menstrual cup.

TREATMENT FOR VESICOVAGINAL FISTULA

The present invention relates to methods and compositions for the treatment of vesicovaginal fistula. It is based, at least in part, on the discovery that a menstrual cup may be used to collect urine and decrease or prevent urine leakage in certain women having vesicovaginal fistula and, in some cases, the menstrual cup was observed to at least partially occlude the fistula and permit normal micturition.

FEMALE EXTERNAL CATHETER DEVICES HAVING A URETHRAL CUP, AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20230190512 · 2023-06-22 ·

Examples relate to fluid collection devices having a urethral cup, and related systems and methods. A fluid collection device includes a funnel, a body, a chamber outlet, and a fluid permeable structure. The funnel has a mouth with an outer periphery and narrows to a base defining an opening. The body includes a proximal end region and a distal end region distal to the funnel, and defines a chamber in fluid communication with the opening at the base of the funnel and extending from the opening beyond the outer periphery of the mouth of the funnel to the distal end region. The chamber outlet is in fluid communication with the chamber and positioned at the distal end region of the body. The fluid permeable structure is positioned within the chamber of the elongated body, and fills at least a portion of the chamber between the opening and the chamber outlet.

FEMALE FLUID REMOVAL DEVICE

A urine removal device includes a plurality of layers suitable to capture and transfer urine. A conduit system is disposed inside of the device and extends from the proximal portion of the device, where it interfaces via an outlet conduit member, to the distal end of the device where it draws in urine from the device. The device allows air flow through the device to support suction that is applied. The fluid layer system has at least one conduit configured to draw urine from the distal portion of the device up to the proximal end of the device, and into the outlet conduit where it exits the urine removal device.
