PRESSURE-SENSITIVE LABEL
A pressure sensitive label and method for preparing same, the pressure sensitive label comprising: (a) a support portion, said support portion including at least a carrier layer; and (b) a transfer portion over said support portion for transfer of the transfer portion from the support portion to an article upon application of pressure to the transfer portion while the transfer portion is in contact with the article, said transfer portion including at least (1) a first printable layer in confronting relationship with the carrier layer, (2) an ink layer, and (3) a second printable layer, wherein the ink layer is disposed between the first printable layer and the second printable layer.
DIRECT THERMAL AND THERMAL TRANSFER LABEL COMBINATION
A direct thermal and thermal transfer label combination is provided. The label includes a substrate, and the substrate includes a thermal print coating applied to a front side of the substrate. The label also includes a liner attached to a backside of the substrate along a first side of the liner. Further, an aqueous resin-based thermal transfer coating is applied to a second side of the liner. The front side of the label is capable of being imaged through direct thermal printing while the second side of the liner represents an opposite side of the label that is capable of being imaged through thermal transfer printing.
Color shifting heat transfer label
A color shifting heat transfer label includes a carrier and a color design layer on the carrier. The color design layer is formulated from an ink having a color shifting effect. The color design layer is configured to separate from the carrier to define a color shifting feature that is adhered to a target object upon application of heat and pressure. The color shifting feature is adhered to the target object to define a plane defined by the color shifting feature such that the color shifting feature exhibits a first color when viewed from an angle of about 90 degrees relative to the plane defined by the color shifting feature and a second color, different from the first color when viewed from an angle of about 45 degrees or less relative to the plane defined by the color shifting feature.

The front side of the label is capable of being imaged through direct thermal printing while the second side of the liner represents an opposite side of the label that is capable of being imaged through thermal transfer printing.
Custom graphic film
A product, system, and method for creating a film capable of allowing a user to create a custom graphical representation is described, which may allow a user to create a custom graphical representation in a film by depressing select areas of the film to form the custom graphical representation.
HEAT TRANSFER LABELS WITH POLYCHROMATIC EFFECTS
A polychromatic effects heat transfer label includes a carrier and a polychromatic effects design layer on the carrier. The polychromatic effects design layer is formulated from an ink having a polychromatic effects pigment present in a concentration of about 1 percent to about 25 percent by weight of the ink. The polychromatic effects heat transfer label is transferred from the carrier to an apparel item as a polychromatic effects feature and the polychromatic effects feature exhibits robust polychromatic effects on the item. The polychromatic effects feature exhibits no adhesion failure, no color change, no stain, and no visual change after being subjected to a Nike standard embellishment durability wash tests of an accelerated wash, 5 times at a temperature of 60° C. and an innovation standard wash, 15 times at a temperature of 60° C., and being tumbled dry after each wash and exhibits no color transfer, no abrasion and no visual change after being subjected to an AATCC standard crock test, 10 crocks with an SDLATLAS CM-5 AATCC crockmeter and an TIC crockmeter using 2″×2″ squares. Polychromatic effects heat transfer labels for transfer to plastic, carbon fiber and metal are disclosed.
BREATHABLE HEAT TRANSFER LABEL
Technologies are generally provided for textile items with breathable heat transfer labels. In some examples, a reversed design of a label may be printed onto a surface of a carrier using a water-based or solvent-based ink. A layer of a thermoplastic adhesive may be applied onto the surface of the carrier with the reversed design and a predefined pattern of holes may be laser-drilled into the carrier through the thermoplastic adhesive to avoid appearance of burn marks on an external surface of the label in the completed product. The carrier may be onto a garment or textile item by affixing the thermoplastic adhesive onto a surface of the garment and activating the thermoplastic adhesive. The carrier may then be removed revealing the design of the label with laser-drilled holes on the garment or textile item.
Produce wash label
A dissolvable produce washing label includes a dissolvable substrate impregnated with a produce cleanser; an adhesive layer; and a coating to seal and protect from water and humidity. When rubbed and washed with water by the end user the top coating wears and breaks to expose the dissolvable substrate, thereby dissolving the substrate and releasing the produce wash.
PERFORATED, COMBINED RECEIPT AND LABEL ROLL
A receipt and label roll comprises a core and a web having a longitudinally-extending axis and wound on the core along the axis. The web includes (i) a substrate having a front side and a back side opposite the front side, (ii) a thermally-sensitive coating disposed on the front side of the substrate, (iii) adhesive disposed on a portion of the back side of the substrate along the web axis, and (iv) a release coating disposed on the front side of the substrate along the web axis to prevent the adhesive from sticking to the front side of the substrate when the web is wound on the core. The web further includes (v) a longitudinal weakened structure extending along a direction parallel to the web axis and dividing the web into a first web portion on which the adhesive is disposed and a second web portion which is substantially devoid of adhesive.
Thermochromic ink indicia for activatable quality labels
An activatable quality label operative to provide an indication of exceedance of a temperature threshold following activation thereof at a temperature less than or equal to an activation temperature, including a readable indicator located on the quality label and operative, following activation of the quality label at or below the activation temperature, to readably indicate exceedance of the temperature threshold, an actuator element operative to activate the quality label and indicia at least partially formed by thermochromic ink, the thermochromic ink having a first visual appearance at temperatures less than or equal to the activation temperature and a second visual appearance at temperatures above the activation temperature, such that a visual appearance of the indicia is indicative of whether the quality label is at a temperature less than or equal to the activation temperature and hence may be activated.
