PRINTED TAGS FOR HEATED FOOD ITEMS
Systems and methods are provided for creating printed tags for use in connection with a heated food item placed into a hot holding unit. System components may include a user interface, a printer, and a controller. The controller is programmed to instruct the user interface to display a prompt for an operator to input information identifying one or more characteristics of a food item positioned within or to be placed into a hot holding unit. The controller receives the information from the user interface and instructs the printer to generate a tag identifying the food item and the time at which the food item is to be removed from the hot holding unit and discarded. The tag may include a display area to display the printed information and a support area with a slit that allows the tag to be supported by a rack of the hot holding unit.
Label form including concealable label
A label form that includes a sheet material and a substrate piece is disclosed. The sheet material has a covering section and a concealable section connected to the covering section. The reinforcing piece is attached to a surface of the sheet material. When the concealable section is folded under the covering section, at least a portion of the undersurface of the reinforcing piece is revealed.
WASH-OFF LABEL
The specification relates to a wash-off label (100, 200) comprising a face (101, 301) and a pressure sensitive adhesive (102, 302) adjoined to the face, wherein the face (101, 301) comprises corona discharged filmic material and the pressure sensitive adhesive (102, 302) has a composition including at least one acrylic polymer comprising acrylic monomer(s) and/or non-acrylic comonomer(s) having a carbonyl group capable of undergoing a crosslinking reaction, amount of the acrylic monomer(s) and/or non-acrylic comonomer(s) having a carbonyl group capable of undergoing a crosslinking reaction being from 0.1 to 5 wt. % of monomer composition, and a crosslinking agent with dihydrazide functionality, amount of the crosslinking agent being from 20 to 150% with respect to the amount of the carbonyl groups capable of undergoing a crosslinking reaction. The wash-off label (100, 200) is detachable from a surface when exposed to an alkaline washing solution at a temperature of 85 degrees C. the detachability being such that the pressure sensitive adhesive (102, 302) remains attached to the face (101, 301). Further, the specification relates to a labelled item and use of the wash-off label for labelling an item. Still further, the specification relates to a label laminate web and a method of manufacturing the wash-off label as well as to a pressure sensitive adhesive composition for a wash-off label.
Medical supply cabinet with medical supply contents having machine readable codes
A medical supply cabinet includes a housing; a medical supply cabinet identifying machine readable code located on the housing; and a plurality of medical supply packages, each medical supply package containing a specific medical supply. Each medical supply package includes a discarded portion created when the medical supply package is opened. The discarded portion of the medical supply package includes a medical supply package machine readable code identifying the specific medical supply associated with the medical supply package.

Code-shield label
A label including a first strip including a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The first strip includes an opaque material. The first strip further includes a first area proximate the first end. The first area includes a first length along a longitudinal axis common to the first strip. The label also includes a second strip including a third end and a fourth end opposite the third end, wherein the second strip includes a transparent material. The second strip is laminated over the first strip such that the third end is disposed outside the first area. The fourth end extends beyond the second end a distance at least equal to the first length.
Variable pattern shield protection system for a tamper-evident container
The disclosed embodiments provide a method for tamper-evident shipment or storage of goods. An Electrical Shield pattern is embedded in or printed on a substrate with other electrical, optical, and electronic components, communication components, semiconductors, which are attached or printed on a substrate to form a shipment bag used as a shipping container. The shield pattern can be made variable between different bags by using algorithms entered into a printer control system. The shipment bag with its components can then be assigned a unique signature which differentiates each bag. Application of encryption methods serves to guarantee the shipped goods are authentic and that were not tampered with during shipment. Digital signal processing is used to generate pedigree information, which may include items such as shipping location, serial numbers, sensor information, and lot numbers for the goods. The information related to the history of tampering attempts and other sensor status can be placed in encrypted form in an RFID tags or control or monitoring electronics which can be read by a mobile phone application or sent to a remote cloud-based server.
