Flag Label
The flag label for attachment around an elongated object has a pair of faces oppositely facing from one another surrounded by a peripheral edge, One of the pair of faces is bifurcated into uneven portions at a line. Those uneven portions include an adhesive-bearing portion having adhesive received thereon and further include a non-adhesive bearing portion not having adhesive thereon. The non-adhesive bearing portion may be larger in surface area than the adhesive bearing portion such that, when folded onto one another, there is little to no possibility that adhesive remains exposed about the periphery of joining due to imperfect alignment of the edges of the two contacting portions.
Medium including release material and printing label and method of wrapping peeled-off label
A medium is configured to be mounted in and printed with a printer. The medium includes: a release material; and a printing label. The release material is provided with a cut-out area. The cut-out area is surrounded by a hole or a cut or a series of holes or a series of cuts and has at least a first side and a second side. The first side and the second side oppose each other. The printing label is affixed to the release material so as to extend across the first side and the second side of the cut-out area. The first side and the second side are configured to include different types of the holes or the cuts or the series of holes or the series of cuts from each other.
Linerless labels
Linerless labels are presented. A label includes a specific pattern or set of patterns of adhesive applied to one side of the label. The adhesive pattern(s) reduces contact between a cutter blade of a printer and the adhesive on the one side of the label. Moreover, the adhesive patterns reduce buildup of adhesive on the cutter blade and reduce buildup at specific locations on the cutter blade. That is, the adhesive patterns more evenly distribute adhesive buildup across the cutter blade. Consequently, the cutter blade can be used for a longer period of time before the cutter blade needs to be cleaned of the adhesive.
AROMA FLAVOR
A user-selectable aromatic label for attachment to a beverage container may include a substrate, a scent layer including plurality of scent microcapsules arranged in one or more regions on the substrate, and a removable cover over the scent microcapsules. The removable cover may be selectively removed to rupture the scent microcapsules underneath.
ADHESIVE LABEL AND ROLL
An adhesive label is provided. The adhesive label includes an adhesive patch that covers at least 50% but less than 85% of a backside surface of the adhesive label and that is at least partially horizontally and vertically centered on the backside surface.
Method For Forming A Label Web
A label web and method utilize a substrate, first and second longitudinally spaced label arrays each including two or more double-sided adhesive labels removably attached to the substrate, and a peelable protective covering web extending generally coextensive with the substrate. The label arrays and the peelable protective web are configured such that the peelable protective web is selectively removable to expose the first label array while remaining removably attached to the second label array, with both the first and second label arrays remaining removably attached to the substrate, to thereby facilitate removal of all labels in the first label array as a group while the peelable protective covering web remains in place over the second label array.

The removable cover may be selectively removed to rupture the scent microcapsules underneath.
Labels with Liner Separation Feature
A liner in a label-liner combination is provided with a die cut portion made in the liner. The die cut portion is aligned with at least one edge in a label and a front side of the liner is attached to a backside of the label. The die cut portion of the liner is adapted to be removed from the liner when the label is removed from the label-liner combination. Dimensions, and orientation, and a location of the die cut portion in the liner are adapted to allow the label to be removed from the label-liner combination and applied to a surface by digits of a hand without touching an adhesive coating on the backside of the label and adapted to maintain proper printer waste liner spool operations when the liner is wound after application of the label.
IN-LINE PRODUCTION OF LINERLESS LABELS
A label laminate comprising a filmic or a paper substrate, said substrate having a first surface and a second surface; a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) layer, said PSA layer being tacky and having a first surface and a second surface, the first surface of the PSA being in contact with the second surface of the substrate; and a detack layer on top of the second surface of the PSA layer, said detack layer having a melting point above about 50 C, wherein the detack layer has a surface coverage of less than 100% of the second surface of the PSA layer.
ROLL-UP LABEL STRIP AND LABEL FOR APPLICATION ON BAGS
A roll-up strip (100, 101) of labels (10, 11) separable by a transverse cut, distinguishing on each label a main portion (2) from at least one of the longitudinal opposite ends (21, 22) of which extends a longitudinal extension (3, 4) of a smaller width than the main portion (2) and which distal end (31, 41) defines a joining area (A) attachable to a bag by application of an accessory pressing element, the strip able to be devoid of reinforcement or filler made of plastic material, and a longitudinal cut or slit (6) in each joining area (A) of the labels. The cut or slit defines two portions (61, 62) to reduce the resistance offered by the joining area to a deformation by transverse constriction to which it is subject when the accessory pressing element is applied from the outside in the bag closing operation.
