The adhesive can be applied in patches or discrete areas to the paper or to a layer of material that cleans rollers in the manufacturing line and/or in printers. Labeling material includes a labeling region to be printed using a printing device and/or for handwritten labeling. The labeling material includes a carrier layer that is at least partially transparent and can be folded over onto the labeling region to cover or seal the labeling region and can be bonded thereto in portions or over the entire surface. One or more adhesive regions, such as an adhesive layer, adhesive dots, adhesive strips, etc., bond the at least partially transparent carrier layer to the labeling region in portions or over the entire surface. The adhesive region and the labeling region are arranged on the same side of the at least partially transparent carrier layer.

A registration carrier assembly (300) that enables parallel tagging of a geometrically regular set of objects is described. The registration carrier assembly (300) includes a registration carrier (310) comprising a frame (311) surrounding a window (312) through the registration carrier, a first pressure sensitive adhesive coated on one side of the registration carrier (310) and a plurality of regularly spaced tags (100) distributed across the registration carrier and adhered to the registration carrier. Each of the tags includes a tab portion having a unique printed identifier, an anchor portion (120) to attach the tag to one of the objects of the geometrically regular set, and a tether portion connecting the tab portion to the anchor portion.

A linerless label media includes a substrate having a first side, a second side and a longitudinal axis. The first side of the substrate has a release coat. The second side of the substrate has at least one area of a first adhesive having a first thickness, and at least one different area of a second adhesive having a greater thickness than the first thickness of the area of the first adhesive. The greater thickness of the second adhesive reduces a contact between the first adhesive and the release coat when the linerless label media includes a linerless label roll configured for use in a printer.
