LINERLESS LABEL
This invention relates to a method for manufacturing a direct thermal linerless label web (100) comprising a face (110) and a water-based acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive coating (120), wherein the face (110) comprises a base layer (113) and a direct thermal printable coating (115), and wherein the method comprises: supplying the face (110), applying a water-based acrylic adhesive coating (121) comprising free and/or non-free surfactant(s), wherein a total amount of the surfactant(s), excluding surface active polymerization agent(s), is from 0 wt. % to less than 0.6 wt. %, calculated from the total dry weight of the water-based acrylic adhesive coating, and thermally drying the water-based acrylic adhesive coating (121) into the water-based acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive coating (120). This invention further relates to a direct thermal linerless label web, and a use of a direct thermal linerless label (100) in on-demand printing.
MULTI-LAYERED TAG AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF
A horticultural tag comprising: (a) a first outer layer made from a polymer; (b) a second outer layer made from a polymer; and (c) an intermediate layer made from a paperboard, wherein the paperboard is infused with wax prior to joining the first outer layer, the second outer layer, or both to the intermediate layer. The horticultural tag may be adapted for hanging or attachment to a plant. The horticultural tag may also be adapted for at least partial insertion in soil surrounding a potted or planted plant.
Linerless combined mailing label and return label and method of manufacturing same
A combined primary label and secondary label comprises a first piece of paper, a first release coating disposed on a portion of the first piece of paper, a second piece of paper, a second release coating different from the first release coating and disposed on a portion of the second piece of paper. The combined primary and secondary label further comprises an adhesive layer disposed between the first and second pieces of paper such that (i) a primary label can be peeled away with at least some adhesive of the adhesive layer from the second release coating disposed on the portion of the second piece of paper, and (ii) a secondary label can be peeled away with at least some adhesive of the same adhesive layer from the first release coating disposed on the portion of the first piece of paper.
