FUNCTIONAL LABEL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A FUNCTIONAL LABEL
A method of manufacturing a functional label includes providing a source material having one or more label layers and performing a first printing process and thereby forming a print on the source material using a first printing device. The method further includes performing a first die cutting process and thereby forming a functional die cut in the source material using a first die cutting device. The method further includes performing a second printing process separate from the first printing process and thereby forming a digital print on the source material using a second printing device. The method further includes performing a second die-cutting operation separate from the first die cutting operation and thereby forming a format die-cut in the source material using a second die cutting device and thereby forming the functional label.
Label Web With Multiple Side-By-Side Labels
A label web including a substrate is provided. The label web includes a first label removably affixed to a first side of the substrate. The first label is fabricated from a first material. A second label is removably affixed to the first side of the substrate adjacent to the first label in a side-by-side relationship. The second label is fabricated from a second material which differs from the first material. The first labels may be utilized to print desired information thereon and the second labels may fabricated from a transparent, protective material coating which may positioned on the first labels to discourage damage to the first labels from exposure to water or handling when the first labels are affixed to corresponding products.
LINERLESS COMBINED MAILING LABEL AND RETURN LABEL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAM
A combined primary label and secondary label comprises a first piece of paper, a first release coating disposed on a portion of the first piece of paper, a second piece of paper, a second release coating different from the first release coating and disposed on a portion of the second piece of paper. The combined primary and secondary label further comprises an adhesive layer disposed between the first and second pieces of paper such that (i) a primary label can be peeled away with at least some adhesive of the adhesive layer from the second release coating disposed on the portion of the second piece of paper, and (ii) a secondary label can be peeled away with at least some adhesive of the same adhesive layer from the first release coating disposed on the portion of the first piece of paper.
TWO-PLY CHANNEL LINER, LABEL, AND ROLL
A two-ply liner-label and liner-label-roll are provided. A front side of a liner is coated with a release coating. The liner also includes a plurality of die cut tabs that at least partially align with a second die cut label in the label. The backside of the label is coated with an adhesive material and applied to the front side of the liner to form a liner-label roll. The tabs remain affixed to their corresponding individual labels when the labels are removed for placement on packaging; thereby, leaving holes in the liner as the liner is wound into a waste-liner roll within an auto applicator machine.
PERSONAL ARTICLE IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM
A personal article identification system includes a substrate having a top surface and a bottom surface, where the bottom surface is configured to be secured to a personal article and the top surface of the substrate having a first indicia. The system also includes a top layer having a top surface and a bottom surface, where the top layer overlaying the substrate and has a second indicia. The second indicia is different than the first indicia. An intermediary layer is between the substrate and the top layer. In addition, the system includes a plurality of dots forming a two dimensional patterned array in the top layer, where each of the dots is removably attached to the substrate via the intermediary layer, and when removed expose the underlying first indicia of the top surface of the substrate to create a design element in the two dimensional patterned array.
Linerless combined mailing label and return label and method of manufacturing same
A combined primary label and secondary label comprises a first piece of paper, a first release coating disposed on a portion of the first piece of paper, a second piece of paper, a second release coating different from the first release coating and disposed on a portion of the second piece of paper.
Zippered label-liner combination
A label-liner combination is provided. A liner substrate is segmented into three portions by horizontal die cut ties made in the liner substrate. The three portions comprise a top portion, a liner tear strip, and a bottom portion. A label substrate is segmented into three portions by perforations a border portion, a label tear strip, and a center portion. A front side of the liner substrate is aligned with a backside of the label substrate such that the liner tear strip aligns within the label tear strip, the bottom portion of the liner substrate aligns with the center portion of the label substrate, and the top portion of the liner substrate is aligned above and below a top perforation for the label tear strip.
SELF LAMINATING WRISTBAND
In one aspect, a self-laminating identification band is provided. The band is formed from the face stock of a form sheet, with a laminating flap that folds over a printed surface. Adhesive is provided along the flap and along at least one end of the band, so as to allow the band to positioned and looped around itself.
LABEL SHEET ASSEMBLY WITH SURFACE FEATURES
A label sheet assembly and method is disclosed for improving the process of feeding label sheets through a printer. The label sheet assembly may include a facestock layer and a liner sheet. The facestock layer may include an adhesive layer along at least a portion of a first side and include a label surface along at least a portion of the second side opposite the adhesive layer. The liner sheet layer may include at least one surface feature provided along a back side of the liner sheet. In another embodiment, the facestock layer may include at least one surface feature provided along the front of the facestock layer. The surface features may create a zone of increased friction or increase tactile sensitivity along the various surfaces of the label sheet assembly to improve printer processing.
