A method, comprising: providing a combination of a package and a label attached to the package, wherein the label comprises a fluorescent substance, illuminating the label with excitation light so as to cause the label to emit fluorescence light, capturing an image of the label by using an imaging unit, and detecting the position of the label by analyzing the captured image and/or detecting a degree of adhesion of the label by analyzing the captured image.

Tamper proof tag for watches
10519697 · 2019-12-31 · ·

Disclosed is a tamper proof tag and accompanying method for verifying that a watch is authentic and has not been tampered with. The tamper proof tag, when affixed to the watch, ensures that the watch is authentic and prevents a user from tampering with the watch. The tamper proof tag also allows the watch to be worn while the tamper proof tag is affixed to watch and is minimally obstructive to the aesthetics of the watch. This provides a purchasing user with confidence that the watch is authentic, while also allowing the user to try on the watch without having to remove the tamper proof tag. The tamper proof tag also protects the seller from a user that may attempt to tamper with the watch after purchase. For example, the seller may condition returns for a sold watch on the tamper proof tag remaining affixed to the watch.

Tampering detection based on non-reproducible marks in a tampering evident element

Provided herein are methods, systems and computer program products for detecting tampering, comprising a sealing process and a seal verification process. The sealing process comprising analyzing a seal applied to seal an object as a tamper evident element, recording one or more manufacturing defects of the seal identified based on the analysis, each of the one or more manufacturing defects comprising one or more non-reproducible deviations from seal generation instructions used to produce the seal, and generating a signature comprising the one or more manufacturing defects. The seal verification process comprising obtaining the signature, analyzing the seal sealing the object, and determining whether the object is tampered based on a comparison between the analyzed seal and the signature.

Reusable bolt electronic seal module with GPS/cellular phone communications and tracking system

An electronic security bolt seal for locking a hasp includes an electronic module that has a circuit board disposed at an interior cavity of a housing. The housing includes apertures aligned with each other, such that a bolt is configured to be inserted through the apertures and through the interior cavity to engage the circuit board and complete an electronics circuit. When the bolt is inserted through the apertures of the housing, a locking device engages a tip region of the bolt that protrudes from the housing to secure the electronic module to the bolt. Responsive to a determination of breaking the electronics circuit, the circuit board is operable to generate a seal tamper signal. The locking element can be unlocked by a user to disengage the locking device from the bolt to permit the bolt to be removed from the electronic module and disengaged from the hasp.

Tamper-evident seal for electricity meters

This invention is referred to a guarantee seal for non-opening electrical energy consumption meters with mechanical seal type padlock, disposable of a single use; for sealing or closing some container, box, door, cabinet, meter, valve, pump, bag, carrier bag, water tank, etc., meanly used for the electricity meters commonly used in countries of North America, Central and South America; whose purpose is protecting and controlling the electricity theft, guarantying its immobility. Such guarantee seal has a unique shape that fits exactly with the cavities of the meters and it gets in by pressure, therefore if the seal is located outside of such cavity its external manipulation is evident, furthermore, it has a lid, a base, a verification system by continuity and tag or RFID tag to ensure the integrity of such seal.

Tamper detection device

According to a first aspect of the present disclosure, an electronic tamper detection device is provided, comprising a tamper loop and a deformable component, wherein a deformation of said component indicates that the tamper loop has been broken. According to a second aspect of the present disclosure, a corresponding method of producing a tamper detection device is conceived.

Container tamper-proof protection by use of printed fiber optics manufacturing and integrated sensors
10388129 · 2019-08-20 · ·

The disclosed embodiments provide a method for tamper-proof protection of containers used for shipment of goods. An optical fiber is embedded in an Optical Shield Wallpaper which lines all interior surfaces of any size of a shipping container, package, box, barrel or other shaped container. Wallpaper is manufactured using large scale rollers that press fibers with encapsulated adhesives onto an appropriate medium. Small medicine containers are protected with a fiber optic shield and sensors manufactured using ink jet printing techniques. Light is applied to the optical fiber and a measurement of optical fiber characteristics is performed. Digital signal processing is used to generate pedigree information, which may include items such as shipping location, serial numbers and lot numbers for the goods. The status of the autonomous anti-tampering system is monitored real-time for unauthorized intrusions. Intrusions detected are relayed to an authorized recipient via a variety of communication channels.

VARIABLE PATTERN SHIELD PROTECTION SYSTEM FOR A TAMPER-EVIDENT CONTAINER

The disclosed embodiments provide a method for tamper-evident shipment or storage of goods. An Electrical Shield pattern is embedded in or printed on a substrate with other electrical, optical, and electronic components, communication components, semiconductors, which are attached or printed on a substrate to form a shipment bag used as a shipping container. The shield pattern can be made variable between different bags by using algorithms entered into a printer control system. The shipment bag with its components can then be assigned a unique signature which differentiates each bag. Application of encryption methods serves to guarantee the shipped goods are authentic and that were not tampered with during shipment. Digital signal processing is used to generate pedigree information, which may include items such as shipping location, serial numbers, sensor information, and lot numbers for the goods. The information related to the history of tampering attempts and other sensor status can be placed in encrypted form in an RFID tags or control or monitoring electronics which can be read by a mobile phone application or sent to a remote cloud-based server.

System and method for detecting package tampering

A method for detecting package tampering comprises performing first scanning of a container comprising a packaged item and a plurality of packaging elements surrounding the packaged item, wherein each of the plurality of packaging elements comprises an identification component, and the first scanning comprises using the identification component of each of the plurality of packaging elements to detect each of the plurality of packaging elements. The method further comprises determining an orientation of each of the plurality of packaging elements in the container from the first scanning, performing second scanning of the container, determining an orientation of each of the plurality of packaging elements in the container from the second scanning, and comparing the orientation of each of the plurality of packaging elements in the container from the first scanning with the orientation of each of the plurality of packaging elements in the container from the second scanning.
