Remote vehicle hazard and communication beacon

A hazard beacon has an interface to a vehicle wiring harness configured to detect that vehicle emergency indicators have been deployed, a plurality of separately strobe capable light segments forming a hazard symbol, and a microcontroller controlling operation of the plurality of separately strobe capable light segments.

ROAD SIGNS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USE THEREOF
20190333423 · 2019-10-31 ·

Embodiments of adaptable road signs and methods of manufacture are provided. In some embodiments, the adaptable road signs have messages that can quickly be changed by, for instance, applying a placard or banner on the road sign. In some embodiments, the adherence of a placard to the face of the road sign is facilitated by arrays of magnetic features embedded in the sign face and the placard.

Local light-emitting road sign board apparatus

A local light-emitting road sign board apparatus is disclosed. Local light-emitting panels, displaying road guides in the form of a character, numeral, symbol, or figure, are independently inserted and installed in openings for road sign units that are provided in a main substrate. A sub substrate and a retroreflective sheet are laminated and bonded on each local light-emitting panel so as to form a road sign unit. A retroreflective sheet is also bonded on the main substrate so as to form the background of a road sign unit. When one of road sign units fails, it is possible to simply separate, repair or replace, and reinstall only the failed road sign unit while leaving the others intact.

BlueflagProtection automatic LED display dampened foot released sign pole systems
10403176 · 2019-09-03 ·

The sign pole system disclosed simplifies the FRA requirement by incorporating many features into the sign pole system. The worker operating the pole can quickly raise the pole just by stepping on the lift bar. To lower the pole remove the required safety is done by stepping on the release footstep. The built in LED features will activate only when it is nighttime and when the pole is in the vertical position. The sensitivity to actuate the LED's is adjustable to compensate for night yard overhead lighting. A solar panel keeps the battery charged. When required a pad lock (lock out device) can be inserted into the foot step base to secure the sign pole system in the up position until deemed safe by the worker to remove the sign protection. Manually attaching a night time blue light is no longer required because the LED light is now built into the sign pole and is automatically actuated.

Traffic sign cover
10395567 · 2019-08-27 ·

A traffic sign cover including a planar member having a first and second side and shaped to be place on a side of an existing sign. Holding members project from the sides of the planar member and optionally along a portion of the outer edges. The holding member and first side form a first slot therebetween for receiving and retaining the existing sign. The second holding member and second side form a second slot therebetween for receiving and retaining a temporary sign. The planar member is slideable upon the existing sign until a top receiving feature contacts a top edge of the existing sign, overlaying a side of the existing sign with the planar member. The temporary sign is slideable upon the planar member until a bottom edge contacts a bottom receiving feature of the planar member, overlaying and covering a side of the planar member with a temporary sign.

Temporary traffic control assembly
10385525 · 2019-08-20 ·

A temporary traffic control assembly includes a traffic barrier that is positioned in a construction zone of a roadway. A mount is coupled to the traffic barrier and a motor is coupled to the mount. A pole is slidably positioned on the motor such that the motor selectively rotates the pole. A display is coupled to the pole such that the display is visible to drivers on the roadway. The display displays indicia comprising traffic information for the drivers. The display is suspended over the roadway when the motor rotates the pole into a displaying position. Moreover, the display is swung across the traffic barrier when the motor rotates the pole into a maintenance position. In this way a worker standing behind the traffic barrier can manipulate the pole and the display without being exposed to traffic on the roadway. A remote control is manipulated by a user for remotely controlling operational parameters of the motor and the display.

Sign Clip

A sign clip for attaching a sign to a post may include a front piece and two side pieces forming a square with an open side. The side pieces may each have a hook piece on the back to prevent the clip from moving forward. Compressible bumpers on the inside of the sign clip may either be pressed up against the post by the spring force of the side pieces, or may slip inside holes in the sign post. Clip pieces extending down from the front piece may hold a sign to the post. The sign clip may enable convenient attachment of the sign to the post without the use of tape, string, glue, ties, or other materials that may be difficult to remove.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ATTACHING SIGNS TO FOUNDATION MEMBERS SUCH AS ROAD BARRIERS

A support system for a sign mountable on at least two spaced apart foundation members, the system comprising: i) a base, preferably a length adjustable base, having a first end and a second end; ii) a vertical sign support having a first end and a second end wherein the second end is connected to the base; iii) a first foundation member bracket for connection to a first foundation member, the first foundation member bracket proximate the first end of the base; and iv) a second foundation member bracket for connection to a second foundation member distant the first foundation member, the second foundation member bracket proximate the second end of the base.
