License Plate Holder
A license plate holder includes a frame defining a central opening to permit display of indicia on at least one license plate display region of a license plate and defining frame display region(s) adjacent the central opening and a transmissive substrate. The transmissive substrate includes snap-fit connectors to connect the transmissive substrate to peripheral portions of the frame to dispose the transmissive substrate over the central opening and the frame display region(s). In an assembled stated with the transmissive substrate disposed in front of the frame and connected to the frame, a central region of the transmissive substrate is positioned over the central opening and the license plate display region and a peripheral region of the transmissive substrate is positioned over the at least one frame display region.
PLATE HOLDER FOR HOLDING A LICENSE PLATE, IN PARTICULAR COMPRISING A RADIO FREQUENCY TRANSPONDER
A plate holder for holding a license plate includes: a holder base having, on a first side, a contact surface, which extends along a contact plane and on which a license plate is rests in a position arranged on the plate holder; and two guide rails, which are arranged on the holder base and extend parallel to each other and between which the license plate can he slid in an insertion direction for arrangement on the contact surface, the license plate being held between the guide rails in the position arranged on the plate holder, wherein the holder base has, on a second side facing away from the contact surface, a placement surface, which extends parallel to the contact plane, is spaced apart from the contact surface in a vertical direction pointing perpendicularly to the contact plane, and can be placed on an object to arrange the plate holder.
Content display on moving vehicles
Systems and methods are provided for displaying content on a vehicle with at least one display device coupled to a frame member and extending to the right or left of the license plate receiving area of the vehicle. Content is selected and altered as desired, including based on user preferences and/or vehicle location.
Shaped-array LED license plate display
Embodiments disclosed herein describe systems and methods for a license-plate-sized enclosure that includes translucent and opaque films with personalized images and a printed circuit board. The license plate enclosure may incorporate shaped-arrays of LEDs that are substantially conformed to the shape of the translucent portions of the films and are used to illuminate the translucent portions.
Quick connect vehicle attachment
The quick connect vehicle attachment as disclosed herein generally includes a bayonet lug having a series of threads that engage a tow hook boss on one end and a locking pin protruding out opposite sides of an interface shoulder on another end for select slide-in reception into a bayonet housing and along a cam slot for locking engagement therewith in a pair of slotted receptacles under a spring-biased preload.
Mobile messaging device for a vehicle triggered by a deceleration sensor
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a mobile messaging device that is battery powered with no hard wire connection to the vehicle's electrical system. Signage is backlit for visibility in both low and high ambient lighting conditions. To conserve battery power, the signage is lit after braking (deceleration) of the vehicle for a brief period of time. To further conserve battery power, the signage is backlit at different intensity levels which depend on ambient lighting conditions. Deceleration sensing is provided by a sensor fully incorporated within the mobile messaging device, which requires no external wiring to the vehicle's electrical system. The deceleration sensor is user adjustable to minimize false triggering. Messaging can be provided by user replaceable transparent placards or by backlit, user programmable liquid crystal display panels. In one configuration, the mobile messaging device is incorporated into a vehicle license tag frame.
Segmented License Plate Connected Display Device
The present invention describes a segmented license plate connection mechanism. The device comprises a conventional display device, which enables a personalized message, image, or video to be displayed adjacent to the entire perimeter of the license plate. A static image may be inserted into the decal enclosure, and is secured by decal stabilization clip. The display device also comprises a USB inlet and source of power that enables users to upload custom media.
LICENSE PLATE COVER
A license plate cover system includes a base plate defining a first surface configured to face a vehicle. A second surface of the base plate is configured to face away from the vehicle. A side surface of the base plate connects the first surface with the second surface. The base plate includes protrusions extending from the side surface. A cover plate defines a first surface configured to face the second surface of the base plate. A second surface of the cover plate is configured to face away from the base plate. An inner side surface connects the first surface of the cover plate with the second surface of the cover plate. The cover plate includes recesses configured to receive the protrusions therein. The cover plate is configured to be removably coupled with base plate by securing the protrusions in corresponding recesses of the plurality of recesses.
