Precision multi-view display

A precision multi-view (MV) display system can accurately and simultaneously display different content to different viewers over a wide field of view. The MV display system may include features that enable individual MV display devices to be easily and efficiently tiled to form a larger MV display. A graphical interface enables a user to graphically specify viewing zones and associate content that will be visible in those zones in a simple manner. A calibration procedure enables the specification of content at precise viewing locations.

The technical solution of the disclosure effectively solves the problem that in the related technology, an external tool is required for drawing two adjacent boxes close, resulting in a complex tensioning process.

In one embodiment, the system includes a TOLED display that includes a TOLED panel with a front side and a back side, a cover glass or a touch sensor coupled to the front side of the TOLED panel, and a transparency control medium coupled to the back side of the TOLED panel to provide transparency control of the TOLED panel, wherein the transparency control medium is an electrochromic (EC) glass, a Suspended Particle Device (SPD) film, or a Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) film. The system further includes a versatile hinge assembly coupled to the TOLED display to enable the TOLED display to be used in a table top or desktop configuration or to be mounted to a support structure.

A plurality of edge contacts is also provided along edges of the substrate, where the plurality of edge contacts is electrically connected with the integrated circuits. An electrically conductive layer covers at least a part of the front side of the substrate and surrounds the plurality of electrical components, where the electrically conductive layer does not physically contact the embedded integrated circuits and provides electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding to different components of the display panel.
