Wenzel-cassie glove
A glove with an enhanced gripping textured surface is disclosed herein. In preferred embodiments, the glove contains a palm region adapted to cover the palm of a person's hand, a thumb region extending outwardly from the palm region, an index finger region disposed adjacent the thumb region, a middle finger region adjacent the index finger region, a ring finger region adjacent the middle finger region, and a little finger region adjacent the ring finger region with each region containing a textured surface. In preferred embodiments, the textured surface is formed by a plurality of dimensionally hierarchical structures superimposed in layers. The textured surface of the invention, when in contact with wet tissue, repels water at a first texture layer and traps tissue at a second texture layer, such that when in tissue contact, especially exudative tissue, tissue fixatively localizes to the glove surface.

An ambidextrous or hand-specific glove including a wrist region, a palm region, and a digit region. The glove may be fabricated of nitrile rubber that is free of or essentially free of zinc, sulfur and accelerators to reduce allergic reactions in populations required to frequently wear protective gloves. A band region that partially or fully encircles a user's finger knuckles may be provided for easier finger bending. Texturing may be provided on glove surfaces that are used to grip articles. The tip regions on the front surface of the index and middle finger regions may be un-textured or smooth to enable a user to take a patient's pulse. These tip regions may be of reduced diameter and circumference so as to pull the glove material tightly around the tips of the user's finger so that even a faint pulse in a patient may be detected.

SEAM SEALED HEAT RESISTANT GLOVE OR MITT
A seam sealed heat resistant glove or mitt includes a front portion having a periphery and a rear portion having a periphery. The front and rear portions are joined to one another along a portion of their respective peripheries to define seams. The front and rear portions, when joined to one another, define an interior with seams formed at the interior and at an exterior of the glove or mitt with seams formed at the exterior. A welded thermoplastic material is disposed over the seams on at least one of the interior and the exterior of the glove or mitt and is cured by the application of ultrasonic energy. A method of making a seam sealed glove or mitt is disclosed.
DISPOSABLE GLOVES AND METHODS OF USING AND MAKING
A disposable glove and a method for making the disposable glove that reduces or eliminates glove cuff roll-down. The disposable glove includes a treated area on the interior surface of the glove that extends from the hand area to a portion of the wrist-forearm area of the glove but such that at least a portion of the interior near the glove opening is untreated. The untreated portion of the interior surface of the disposable glove resists glove cuff roll-down when the glove is positioned on a user's hand and forearm.

Disposable glove with open-cell inner layer
A disposable glove includes an elastomeric base layer having an inside surface and an outside surface. An elastomeric inner layer is fixed with the inside surface of the base layer and comprises an open-cell foam material configured to absorb excessive moisture on the hand. Preferably the inner layer is between one and eight mils thick, allowing enough flexibility that the glove may take an ambidextrous form. The inner layer is a closed-cell foam material treated with a chemical agent to open a plurality of the closed cells in situ. A liquid-impervious layer situated between the base layer and the inner layer, and an open-cell absorbent outer layer, may also be included. The inner layer includes a plurality of encapsulated compound microcapsules and a plurality of cotton fibers. Methods of manufacturing the glove are included.
