A pallet safety marker apparatus to provide a visual warning of the presence of a pallet. The safety marker apparatus includes a base structured to be inserted under, around and/or on a corner of a pallet. A safety-marker post extends upwardly from the base and may include offset, tilting and/or telescopic segments and visual enhancements. A safety marker/topper secured to a top end of the post formed in a geometric shape with color, texture and/or luminescent patterns to provide a visually-distinct warning. The post and/or topper may be translucent or transparent with enclosed lighting to impart a visual warning. Extendable/retractable safety bands may be incorporated into the safety markers/toppers.

A display which can be mounted on the outside of a vehicle includes a generator to generate electricity to power accessories such as a light for illuminating the display. The display may comprise a windsock which is mounted on a support ring surrounding a central hub in which the turbine mounted. The turbine includes an impeller extending on an inlet end of the central hub and a light source electrically connected to the generator and mounted on the central hub and projecting in an opposite direction from the impeller. The windsock is mounted on the support ring in surrounding relationship to the light source. The vehicle mounted wind turbine may power other electronic devices or accessories.

The present invention relates to the field of display and monitoring of environmental conditions. In one form, the invention provides a public warning system for conveying status of a condition at several discrete locations. The system may include a number of signs each being automated for indicating environmental conditions including a segmented conditions rating scale physically disposed on a substrate for public display wherein an illuminated display panel is operatively associated with each segment of the segmented conditions rating scale and each sign having a wireless communication device and being located at one of the discrete locations. The system further may include a central control that remotely corresponds with the signs using a wireless network and the wireless communication devices of the signs, such that the signs can independently and/or collectively be directed by the central control to alter the status level of the condition.

For the purpose of advertising for persons, governments, a smart camera or motion sensor detector can be installed with or/alongside of the LED/LCD/Plasma/waterproof TV that is located/installed on the traffic light posts beam, or all can be installed on a separate post and beam that is located/installed parallel to the traffic light, where the load bearing of traffic light posts and beams are not strong enough to communicate with the water-proof TV. The motion sensor can detect motions of pedestrians, cars, motorcycles, bicycles and turn on the TV and show advertisement when there is passing by drivers and people passing by when the traffic light is red and turnoff when the light is green or there is no motion for 10 minutes/minutes and time can be adjusted, to save energy. The advertising of each Plasma/LED/LCD/out door TV can be managed and programmed from faraway or anywhere remotely via the internet and a modem.

A terminal indicator device is provided as a peripheral of a self-service terminal (SST). The indicator device includes two separate displays back-to-back or a single contiguous display having a display surface area of greater than 180 degrees and up to 360 degrees. The indicator device includes a host port for connecting to the SST and one or more status light ports for connecting to one or more status lights. The indicator device is affixed to an apparatus situated above the SST. The apparatus includes the one or more status light strips. The SST controls colors and/or effects of the status light strips and media played on the two displays or the contiguous display. In an embodiment, a server controls the status light strips and the media played on the two or more displays or the contiguous display via the SST or via a wireless transceiver of the indicator device.
