Illuminated Traffic Sign
An illuminated traffic sign that includes a signage print coupled with a reflective sheet, a sign body for securably receiving the reflective sheet thereon, a plurality of symbol apertures formed in the sign body, wherein the symbol apertures align with portions of the signage print to be illuminated, and a plurality of symbol lamps positioned inside a light enclosure secured to the sign body.
ILLUMINATED MARKERS FOR VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION AND MONITORING AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A marker system for a vehicle comprises a marker structure bearing an augmented reality (AR) code visible on a surface thereof, and an illumination source configured and positioned to provide sufficient contrast between the AR code and adjacent portion of the marker structure at the surface to enable a camera aimed at the surface to detect the AR for recognition thereof. Related systems and methods are also disclosed.
ILLUMINATED ADDRESS SIGN ASSEMBLY WITH INTEGRATED SECURITY FEATURES
One embodiment provides an illuminated address sign that includes a frame with an open front side and an open rear side. The open front side interchangeably receives a first plaque, and the open rear side interchangeably receives a second plaque. Multiple first attachment points are configured on the open rear side of the frame. The multiple first attachment points connect with a bracket for mounting the illuminated address sign to a first surface. A control unit is connected to the frame and a light source. A light sensor is connected to the frame and the control unit.
Illuminated vehicular emblem
An illuminated vehicular emblem for a means of transportation includes a housing unit, a lighting unit and a light dimming unit. The housing unit includes a bottom case, a top case disposed on the bottom case, and an emblem member disposed above the top case. A receiving space is defined between the top and bottom cases to receive the lighting unit. The lighting unit includes a light guide plate, light emitting components and a first light shielding film disposed on the light guide plate. The light emitting components are disposed at the light guide plate such that the light guide plate receives light emitted from the light emitting components. The light dimming unit changes the direction of propagation of the light and includes a first dot portion distributed on the light guide plate and along a projection of an outline of the emblem member.
Light guide illumination systems with enhanced light coupling
A face-lit waveguide illumination system employing a planar sheet of an optically transmissive material. A strip of side-emitting LEDs is positioned adjacent to a major surface of the planar sheet and optically coupled to the planar sheet. The planar sheet is configured to guide light using optical transmission and total internal reflection. Light extraction features located along the prevailing path of light propagation extract light from the planar sheet and emit the light towards a surface normal direction.
Lighted Sign
The present invention provides lighted signs and in particular electronic signs having embedded or integral light sources and in particular to lighted signs that have field replaceable lights and field replaceable face plates, and which preferably are controlled by an Internet-connected controller and which preferably includes an integral solar panel mount and an integral battery box mount, and still preferably include radios for pole-to-pole/machine-to-machine communication for synchronized control, and such products preferably having an additional network connection for Internet connectivity, such as by way of GPRS/GSM/cellular gateway functionality, WiFi, LAN, fiber optic or other network connectivity.

Backlit banner display system
A display system includes a rectangular frame that is surrounded on four sides and is open on two opposed faces. Two banners are disposed to cover the two open faces to enclose a space within the frame. At least one light emitting device is connected to the frame and disposed within the space. The two banners are backlit by the at least one light emitting device when each is in its respective extended position.
Illuminant
An illuminant comprising a transparent substrate layer with a first index of refraction, a connecting layer with a second index of refraction that differs from the first index of refraction, and a metallic, translucent layer, wherein the connecting layer is arranged between the substrate layer and the metallic layer, and wherein on the side facing the connecting layer the substrate layer comprises a plurality of decoupling structures suitable for decoupling light that propagates within the substrate layer from the substrate layer in the direction towards the metallic layer.
