Component for displaying a pictogram and method of producing a component
A component includes a carrier, a semiconductor body and a mirror layer located therebetween, wherein the semiconductor body includes an active layer configured to generate light during operation of the component, the component has a main surface that illuminates during operation, wherein luminous areas of the main surface represent visually detectable information as a pictogram, in a plan view of the main surface, the pictogram has a contour at least partially defined by a contour of the mirror layer, and in a plan view of the main surface, the component has an outline different from the contour of the pictogram.
Light fixture sign
A concealed light fixture sign includes a flange having stencil openings formed therein that define a message. A container extends from a rear surface of the flange and provides light through the stencil openings. The container is configured to be installed completely within a recess behind a mounting surface with the flange positioned substantially flush with the mounting surface. Translucent inserts positioned within the stencil openings are removable to provide access to an interior of the container after installation of the light fixture sign.
Corridor indicator lamp comprising extension unit
The invention relates to a corridor indicator lamp (1). The corridor indicator lamp (1) comprises a base assembly (12) which includes a plurality of compartments (4) and a plurality of separator walls (46). The compartments (4) are open towards a front side (14) of the corridor indicator lamp (1). The separator walls (46) separate at least some of the plurality of compartments (4). In order to improve visibility of the indicator lamp (1), an extension unit (54) is provided according to the invention. The extension unit (54) is configured to be mounted to the base assembly (12) and has a plurality of extension walls (58). An at least partly transparent cover (16) may be further provided, which is adapted to receive the extension unit (54).
Durable electroluminescent signage system and method of manufacture
An electroluminescent lighting system includes an electroluminescent encapsulated and protected inside a solid wall mounting channel. The mounting channel is typically plastic. The mounting channel may itself be printed on its outside display surface, or it may protect a printed surface inside its channel. The mounting channel is sealed on one end by a sealing cap and on its opposite end by an electrical connector that powers the EL lamp inside the channel. This sealed system offers a durable shield for the EL lamp that is mounted inside the channel.
EXIT DOOR INDICATION SYSTEM
An aircraft emergency exit door indication system may comprise a first plurality of light sources, a controller, and a first sensor associated with a first exit door. The first sensor feedback signal indicates an availability for egress through the first exit door. The first plurality of light sources is operated by the controller based upon the first sensor feedback signal. The light sources may be lights that already exist in an aircraft such as ceiling wash lights, sidewall wash lights, floor path lights, dome lights, or passenger service unit lights. The system may include a second plurality of light sources logically separated from the first plurality of light sources based upon its location relative to the first exit door and a second exit door.
EMERGENCY DOOR LOCK ILLUMINATION APPARATUS
An emergency illumination apparatus is integrated into a door lock mechanism including a manual release member and a latch which is displaceable between an engaged position with the jamb of an associated exit door, and a disengaged position, enabling opening of the door. The apparatus includes an illumination device including a base member mounted to the door lock mechanism or a surface of the associated exit door and a spaced array of discrete illumination elements extending along at least one axis intersecting with or circumventing the manual release member. A sensor operates to detect an emergency condition such as the presence of excessive heat, smoke, carbon monoxide, noxious gas and the like, and generate an alarm signal in response thereto. An independent power supply is disposed within the emergency door lock illumination apparatus. A controller energized by the power supply activates the illumination device in response to the alarm signal.
APPARATUS, METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PROVIDING LIGHTING AND COMMUNICATION
Provided are apparatus, methods and systems for providing lighting and communication. An apparatus may include a solid-state lighting panel including multiple solid-state light emitters and an input module that is configured to receive an input signal from a lighting panel group controller that is configured to collaboratively control multiple solid-state lighting panels.
Front access battery compartment
An emergency lighting device includes a housing containing a high voltage connection. A light emitter is connected to the housing. A compartment in the housing having an opening is separated from the high voltage connection. A battery is positioned in the compartment and accessible through the opening.
Lighting system for aircraft
An aircraft cabin lighting system comprises one or more cabin lighting units, each cabin lighting unit comprising an emergency exit sign arranged to be electrically illuminated; and one or more luminescent emergency exit signs. The luminescent emergency exit signs are portable, and each comprise an adhesive layer arranged to allow the luminescent emergency exit sign to be adhered to a surface. The signs are arranged to be adhered to a surface in the vicinity of the electrical emergency exit sign in use, and do not require electricity to function.
