Optical body and light emitting device
There is provided an optical body including: a base material; and a light extraction unit that is formed on a surface of the base material and that extracts, to an outside of the base material, internally propagating light that is injected in an inside of the base material from a side surface of the base material. The light extraction unit is formed of a convex microlens array, and a maximum inclination angle of the convex microlens array substantially coincides with a maximum propagation angle of the internally propagating light.
ILLUMINATED SIGNS FOR VEHICLES, MOUNTING SYSTEMS THEREFOR AND RELATED METHODS
A self-contained illuminated sign for mounting on a vehicle is disclosed. The sign includes a front panel, a rear panel situated opposite and substantially parallel to the front panel in spaced relation therefrom to define a space therebetween, and a light source comprising a plurality of LEDs. The light source is positioned between the front and rear panels and is configured to emit light that emanates from the front panel. The front panel is thus backlit to display indicia. A system for supporting a self-contained illuminated sign on a vehicle is also disclosed. The system includes the sign and a separate mounting frame mountable on a vehicle. The mounting frame is configured to removably receive the sign and, when the sign is received in the mounting frame, to surround a perimeter of the sign while permitting visibility of the front display area. Related methods are also disclosed.

Provided is a side light-emitting type display device having a frame member. The side light-emitting display device having a frame member includes a display assembly configured to guide light to a side surface of the display assembly while displaying an image using light emitted from light sources; a transparent frame member which is configured to surround and fix the display assembly and through which the light guided to the side surface of the display assembly is transmitted; and a side display member provided on a side surface of the transparent frame member, and configured to display information of the image using the light guided to the side surface of the display assembly.

Provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure are a light guide plate and a mold and a manufacturing method thereof, a backlight module and a display device. The light guide plate guides the light emitted from a light source. The light guide plate includes a light incident surface which attaches to a light emergent surface of the light source. The light guide plate may be integrated with the light source. The light guide plate mold is used for manufacturing the light guide plate described above. The light guide plate mold includes a bottom plate and a side plate. The side plate includes a circuit board with a light source on, the side of the light incident surface.

Provided is a side light-emitting type display device having a frame member. The side light-emitting display device having a frame member includes a display assembly configured to guide light to a side surface of the display assembly while displaying an image using light emitted from light sources; a transparent frame member which is configured to surround and fix the display assembly and through which the light guided to the side surface of the display assembly is transmitted; and a side display member provided on a side surface of the transparent frame member, and configured to display information of the image using the light guided to the side surface of the display assembly.
