The water lamp includes a casing, a lighting member, a cap, and a decorative element. The casing has an accommodation space inside filled with a fluid and a through opening on a bottom side. The lighting member positioned in the accommodation space, including at least one lighting element on a top side and a number of columns and a tube arranged at intervals on a bottom side. The translucent cap has an open bottom receiving the top side of the lighting member. The cap and the lighting member jointly enclose a watertight space. The decorative element has a three-dimensional shape having a chamber on a bottom side for covering the cap. As such, the lighting elements are isolated in the watertight space and separated from the fluid in the casing. Through a power element, the lighting elements may illuminate from inside the casing element, thereby creasing interesting visual effect.

Visual communication system

This technology relates to a display mounted messaging system. The display mounted messaging system may include a light emitting diode (LED) display attached to a housing of a sensor. The housing of the sensor may rotate. The display mounted messaging system may also include an LED controller which is configured to selectively activate and deactivate at least one LED in the LED display, to provide a message in the direction of an intended recipient.

INTELLIGENT POST AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAID POST

The present invention corresponds to a smart post, which displays visual signals, either when people approach the smart post, according to a predetermined programming or in response to sensor parameters, the smart post comprises a structural body with an internal cavity, said structural body being made of a translucent material, a support body disposed in the internal cavity of the structural body, wherein the support body extends longitudinally along the structural body. Furthermore, the smart post comprises a light-emitting device located between the structural body and the support body, wherein the light-emitting device is supported on the support body, with a control unit connected to the light-emitting device.

The present invention also comprises a method for controlling a smart post, comprising the following steps: a) entering a configuration parameter in a control unit; b) generating a control signal in the control unit based on the configuration of step a); c) sending the control signal from the control unit to the light-emitting device; wherein the control signal of stage c) controls the light-emitting device to emit visual signals; wherein the visual signal may be text messages, images or light patterns.

Illuminated signs for vehicles, mounting systems therefor and related methods

A self-contained illuminated sign for mounting on a vehicle is disclosed. The sign includes a front panel, a rear panel situated opposite and substantially parallel to the front panel in spaced relation therefrom to define a space therebetween, and a light source comprising a plurality of LEDs. The light source is positioned between the front and rear panels and is configured to emit light that emanates from the front panel. The front panel is thus backlit to display indicia. A system for supporting a self-contained illuminated sign on a vehicle is also disclosed. The system includes the sign and a separate mounting frame mountable on a vehicle. The mounting frame is configured to removably receive the sign and, when the sign is received in the mounting frame, to surround a perimeter of the sign while permitting visibility of the front display area. Related methods are also disclosed.

Trim element comprising an integrated display area

A trim element having a display area defined by a display device, and an edge piece that includes a peripheral area extending around at least part of the display area, the peripheral area being at least partly translucent, the display area and the peripheral area forming at least a part of an outer surface of the trim element. The trim element further includes an illumination device arranged to illuminate the display device to display images on the display area. The illumination device has a luminous sheet extending at least facing the display area and the peripheral area of the edge piece.

An apparatus includes a first display, an indicium, and a second display. The second display can include a light-generating source deposited on a substrate. The second display illuminates the indicium and the second display has a thickness of less than 0.25 millimeters. The apparatus also includes one or more controllers communicatively coupled to the first display and the second display and configured to control states of the first display and the second display.

Method and apparatus to add light sources to a print

A method is disclosed. For example, the method includes printing an image on a substrate, applying an adhesive on select portions of the image, coupling the image to a wave guide such that the adhesive contacts a surface of the wave guide, and providing a light through the wave guide such that the light is emitted through the wave guide and the adhesive and the light is reflected by the select portions of the image back through the adhesive and the wave guide.

Information display board with improved performance by light-extending light source having reflective panel above light-emitting diode

An information display board with improved display performance by light-extending light sources is revealed. The information display board includes a display board and a plurality of light-extending light sources each of which consists of a light emitting diode (LED) and a reflective panel. The LED has a light emitting side and a backside while the reflective panel is disposed on the light emitting side of the LED for reflecting a part of light emitted from the light emitting side to the display board on the backside to form an expanded area. Thus illuminance and illuminated area of information shown on the display board are increased. By continuous lighting generated, messages/information shown on the information display board such as traffic sign can be read more clearly and comfortably.
