Integrated aircraft signage, lighting, and display system
An integrated aircraft lighting and display panel includes high-density arrays of micro-scale light-emitting diodes (LED) set into arrays (e.g., linear, two-dimensional, freeform) to form tiles, the LED tiles combined and interconnected to form LED panels conformable to any interior surface within an aircraft cabin. The PCB and LED arrays may be set into structural layers corresponding to overhead panels, side panels, bin panels, divider panels, doorway panels, galley and monument panels, or other interior structural panels of the aircraft. The LED arrays may be activated by an onboard video processor and local panel-level controllers to provide cabin lighting, indicate aircraft signage, display high-resolution image or video graphics, or simultaneously blend any combination thereof, either on command or in response to detected conditions.

Integrated Micro-LED Luminous Aircraft Panel
An integrated aircraft lighting and display panel includes high-density arrays of micro-scale light-emitting diodes (LED) set into a flexible printed circuit board (PCB). The PCB and LED arrays may be set into structural layers corresponding to overhead panels, side panels, bin panels, divider panels, doorway panels, or other interior structural panels of the aircraft. The LED arrays may be activated by a controller to provide cabin lighting, indicate aircraft signage, display high-resolution image or video graphics, or any simultaneous combination of all three. The panel may have a translucent or transparent decorative outer skin which may mimic the outward appearance of wood, stone, bamboo, or other decorative materials while the integrated lighting and display panels are inactive. Highly reflective core materials, such as an aluminum core in a honeycomb pattern, may guide the luminous output of the LED arrays through the outer skin.
VEHICLE WITH CONTEXT SENSITIVE INFORMATION PRESENTATION
Technologies are generally described for context sensitive display of information on a consumable delivery vehicle with en route preparation. An on-board controller may receive different sets of sensor data associated with time, location, temperature, humidity, captured images, and/or captured audio from sensors on the vehicle or at a destination location. The sensor data may be analyzed/processed at the on-board controller or by a remote control system and instructions may be generated for display of context sensitive information based on received sensor data and/or processed sensor data. One or more displays on the vehicle may display images are associated with a branding, a menu, a pricing, and/or an advertisement based on the generated instructions.
Vehicular light assembly with light sensor
A vehicle lighting system is provided primarily for use with emergency response vehicles. The lighting system includes luminescent alphanumeric characters affixed upon a planar vehicle mounting plate so as to emit light upwardly so as to be seen from the air. The vehicle lighting system also includes a light bar affixed to the planar plate. The light bar is positioned to illuminate light primarily horizontally so as to be seen by those on the ground. Preferably, the luminescent planar sheets are connected by wiring to the light bar so that luminescent planar sheet obtains power from the light bar. In addition, the light bar includes a light sensor electrically connected between the power source and luminescent planar sheets which automatically disables the luminescent panels when ambient light is above a predetermined threshold.

Highly reflective core materials, such as an aluminum core in a honeycomb pattern, may guide the luminous output of the LED arrays through the outer skin.
Illuminated vehicle emblem
An electroluminescent vehicle emblem and a method for illuminating a vehicle emblem includes a base layer, a cover layer, and an electroluminescent light source, which can be one or two electroluminescent assemblies. When the electroluminescent light source is not activated, the cover layer has an opaque appearance. When the electroluminescent light source is activated, light emitted from the electroluminescent light source is transmitted through the cover layer and emitted from a front of the vehicle emblem. Light is also emitted from a back of the vehicle emblem that is opposite from the front of the vehicle emblem to provide back lighting to the vehicle emblem.
REFLECTIVE INK LIGHTING ASSEMBLY
A reflective-ink lighting assembly includes a light transferring medium, a reflective-ink marking in the light transferring medium, and a light source adapted to insert light into the light transferring medium. In a lit state, light from the light source propagates through the light transferring medium by total-internal reflection. As propagated light reflects off the reflective-ink marking, some light exits through a facade of the light transferring medium to produce an illuminated marking. In an unlit state, the reflective-ink marking remains visible due to ambient light reflecting off the reflective-ink marking.
ILLUMINATED VEHICULAR ASSEMBLY FOR DAY AND NIGHT USE
A vehicle lighting system is provided primarily for use with emergency response vehicles. The vehicle lighting system includes at least one luminescent planar sheet affixed to a vehicle's mounting surface. The luminescent planar sheet includes a non-luminescent printed circuit board in the shape of a letter or number which has a top surface of a color which contrasts with the mounting surface's color. The luminescent planar sheet includes a plurality of light emitting LEDs which are surface mounted upon the printed circuit board so as to be arranged in the shape of the desired letter or number with the LEDs covering no more than 20% of the printed circuit board's top surface. Preferably, the LEDs cover no more than 7% the printed circuit board's top surface.
Illuminated plate for motor vehicle
An illuminated plate for motor vehicles includes: a base sheet; an electroluminescent sheet; a background sheet which is transparent, translucent, or reflective, and which has a cutout section constituted by openings shaped in characters for display; character inserts which are transparent or translucent and shaped in the characters, which character inserts are infixed in the corresponding openings of the characters in the cutout section; and a clear cover sheet.
