A display driver includes an image processing circuit and a driver circuit. The image processing circuit is configured to: receive input image data corresponding to an input image; generate first subpixel rendered data from a first part of the input image data for a first display region of a display panel using a first setting; and generate second subpixel rendered data from a second part of the input image data for a second display region of the display panel using a second setting different from the first setting. The first pixel layout is different than the second pixel layout. The driver circuit is configured to update the first display region of the display panel based at least in part on the first subpixel rendered data and update the second display region of the display panel based at least in part on the second subpixel rendered data.

The method includes: obtaining a first to-be-tested brightness parameter of a designated sample display panel at a first gray level; obtaining a first deviation parameter between the first to-be-tested brightness parameter and a reference brightness; calculating a correction coefficient based on the first to-be-tested brightness parameter and the reference brightness parameter when the first deviation parameter is greater than a first preset standard threshold, the correction coefficient being such that a corrected first deviation parameter between a corrected first to-be-tested brightness parameter and the reference brightness parameter is less than or equal to the first preset standard threshold; obtaining a second to-be-tested brightness parameter of a target display panel at the first gray level; and correcting the second to-be-tested brightness parameter using the correction coefficient to obtain a corrected second to-be-tested brightness parameter.

In the pixel, the signals corresponding to the images for superimposition are added to each of the plurality of memory circuits. The signals are added to the signals retained in the memory circuits by capacitive coupling. A display element can display an image corresponding to a signal in which a signal written to a pixel through a wiring is added to the signals retained in the plurality of memory circuits. Reduction in the amount of arithmetic processing for displaying images by superimposition can be achieved.
