The projection method is applied to a first electronic device, and the first electronic device is communicatively connected to a second electronic device. The projection method includes: obtaining a screen resolution of the first electronic device; obtaining a screen resolution of the second electronic device, where a screen resolution ratio of the second electronic device is not equal to a screen resolution ratio of the first electronic device; adjusting the screen resolution of the first electronic device, to enable the screen resolution ratio of the first electronic device to be equal to the screen resolution ratio of the second electronic device; and collecting screen data of the first electronic device, and sending the screen data to the second electronic device, to display screen content of the first electronic device on the second electronic device.
