Gloves having reinforcements and impact features
Gloves comprising a polymeric coating or layer, optionally including a fabric liner, and at least one reinforcement, disposed on a part(s) of the polymeric coating or layer and/or ac part(s) of the fabric liner, and methods of making the gloves are disclosed.
LAMINATED GLOVE, DEVICE AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
A layered, laminated glove includes an outer layer, a membrane formed from a liquid-resistant, air permeable material positioned on an inner surface of the outer layer and a liner formed from a moisture absorbing material. The liner is positioned on an inner surface of the membrane. The outer layer, membrane and liner are laminated to form a single glove. The glove includes a plurality of fingertip portions in which the outer layer, membrane and liner are substantially fully laminated throughout. The glove may include a 3D pattern formed in one or more layers of the laminate. The glove may include an enlarged knuckle section. A hand mold and system for making the gloves and a method are also disclosed.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL LATEX ARTICLE
A multi-layered multifunctional polymeric latex article is provided. A first polymeric latex layer, having nitrile butadiene, is resistant to chemical permeation whilst the second polymeric latex layer disposed on the first layer, being a composite layer of polychloroprene and Nano clay, is resistant to chemical degradation. The third layer disposed on the second layer is a polychloroprene layer having a unique micro-roughened surface texture pattern, providing an improved grip and friction in both wet and dry conditions. The second and third layers are disposed during the wet gelled stages of the first and second layers respectively. The gelled third layer is dipped in a solvent mixture whereby a chemical reaction causes the gelled surface of the third layer to texturize by swelling and fixing, creating a continuous and discontinuous wavy micro-roughened surface which is then cured causing formation of ionic crosslinks in the third polymeric layer.
Damage-resistant gloves with breach-indicator function
The present invention relates to a multi-layered latex cover, particularly a glove, comprising a main body and a rim. The main body comprises an outer latex layer, an inner latex layer and an intermediate layer comprising particles. The rim essentially consists of the agglutinated outer and inner latex layer. The particles in the intermediate layer are chemically functionalized with a compound comprising hydrophobic groups. Prior to functionalization, the particles are characterized by a mean diameter of ≤100 μm and a surface comprising exposed OH groups. The invention further relates to a method of producing the multi-layered cover, comprising the steps of providing a former and sequentially immersing it in a first coagulator solution, a first latex dispersion, a particle suspension and a second latex dispersion.
Highly chemical resistant glove
A chemical resistant composite glove that includes a first polymeric layer in the shape of a glove; and a second polymeric layer disposed on the first polymeric layer, and wherein the first polymeric layer is specified for one class of chemical resistance and the second polymeric layer is specified for a second class of chemical resistance, and optionally a third polymeric layer, which may be a thin coating, disposed on at least one of first polymeric layer or the second polymeric layer and is optionally specified for a third class of chemical resistance.
Polymer latex and layered product
A polymer latex including a polymer and at least one polysaccharide selected from the group consisting of tamarind gum, xanthan gum, cationized xanthan gum, gellan gum, guar gum and cationized guar gum.
Protective device for use with a glove
A color splash effect is established by a darker backdrop color of an outer surface of a liquid proof and heat resistant glove in the event that a portion of the glove ruptures or fails. The color splash effect is accomplished by a lighter and brighter color being visible through the rupture in the glove. The lighter and brighter color may be formed on or as part of a protective member positioned beneath the outer layer. The protective member also protects the wearer against sharp objects contacting the outer layer of the glove and moving over the protective member. Some embodiments provide that the protective member is in a thumb crotch region of the glove.
Glove for conforming to hands of various sizes
A glove has a palm side and a back side joined at a side edge to form a glove body. The palm side and the back side are constructed from a stretch material. Panels attach to the stretch material on the palm side to form finger parts, palm parts and a back part. The panels are separated from each other by the stretch material to allow relative movement. Elastic bands attached to the panels on the back side adjust the fit. A thumb part has a gusset of the stretch material. Grip surfaces have an embossed texture with indentations.
Burn Treatment Glove
A burn treatment glove for alleviating pain resulting from a burn and preventing infection includes a glove comprising a contoured layer constructed of an elastically stretchable, liquid-impermeable material. An elastic tension force in the glove compresses a hand wearing the glove for improved blood flow and reduced swelling. A medicinal liquid coats a portion of the interior surface, which applies to a burn on the skin of the hand when the burn contacts the liquid.
POLYMERIC GLOVES AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A method of making a multilayer disposable glove from individual layers of film. The method comprises the steps of providing at least three individual layers of film. Arranging the at least three individual layers of film into a stack, the stack including a first stack portion that has at least two of the individual layers and a second stack portion that has at least one of the individual layers. Sealing the first and second portions together along a hand-shaped outline. Cutting the sealed stack along the hand-shaped outline so the seal remains intact, thereby forming a multilayered glove.
