DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD OF DRIVING THE SAME
A display device includes: a display panel including pixels emitting light, based on a data voltage; a current limiter for determining a scale factor by comparing a previous frame load with a predetermined threshold load, and generating compensated image data by applying the scale factor to current image data as input image data of a current frame to adjust the data voltage; and a data driver for converting the compensated image data into the data voltage and providing the data voltage to the display panel.

The present embodiments disclose a display device. A display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a pixel unit including a plurality of pixels, each including a luminous element and a pixel circuit connected to the luminous element, a clock generator configured to generate a plurality of clock signals each corresponding to each of a plurality of subframes constituting a frame, and a parallel to serial converter configured to convert the plurality of clock signals to a serial clock signal and transfer the serial clock signal to the pixel unit, and wherein the pixel circuit of each pixel includes a first pixel circuit configured to control light-emission and non-emission of the luminous element in response to a control signal applied to each of the plurality of subframes and a second pixel circuit configured to store bit values of image data in the frame and generate the control signal based on the stored bit values and the serial clock signal such that each subframe included in the frame is controlled according to each bit value.
Display device and driving method therefor
A display device is disclosed. The display device comprises: a display including a plurality of display modules; a display driving unit including a plurality of driving modules connected to each of the plurality of display modules; a storage for storing current control information according to the luminance of a display device; and a processor for calculating the maximum power amount available in each of the plurality of display modules on the basis of the entire power capacity, which can be provided by the plurality of driving modules, and of the individual power consumption amount of each of the plurality of display modules, calculating a peak luminance level of each of the plurality of display modules on the basis of the calculated maximum power amount, and controlling, on the basis of the current control information, the plurality of driving modules such that each of the plurality of display modules has the corresponding peak luminance level.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel including a display area which displays images, a plurality of light sources irradiating light to display an image on the display area and a control unit which sequentially causes the plurality of light source, which correspond to a plurality of areas divided from the display area, to emit light for each of the areas. The control unit repeatedly causes the light source, which corresponds to an area specified from the plurality of areas based on the image, to emit light during one frame period of displaying an image on the display area.

The clock generator includes a voltage maintainer maintaining the gate clock signal at a reference voltage that has a fixed value between the gate-on voltage and the gate-off voltage for a predetermined time.
Display apparatus and method of operating the same
A display apparatus includes a display panel, a scan driver, a data driver and a timing controller. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels that are connected to a plurality of data lines and a plurality of scan lines having different lengths. The scan driver apply a plurality of scan signals to the plurality of scan lines. The data driver apply a plurality of data voltages to the plurality of data lines, and receive a plurality of sensing data that represent operating characteristics of all of the plurality of pixels from a plurality of sensing lines. The timing controller controls operations of the scan driver and the data driver, generates output image data considering the operating characteristics of all of the plurality of pixels and supply the output image data to the data drive.

The sensing driver generates leakage sensing data for current leakage characteristic of the pixels based on the sensing voltage received in a first sensing period, and generates threshold voltage sensing data for a threshold voltage of a driving transistor of the pixels based on the sensing voltage received in a second sensing period.
