A display device includes a display panel. The display panel includes a pixel including a light emitting element. A compensator calculates a current stress of the light emitting element based on input grayscale values sequentially provided for the pixel during a specific time and generates a first output grayscale value by compensating for a first input grayscale value provided at a current time point based on the current stress. A driver generates a data signal based on the first output grayscale value and supplies the data signal to the pixel. The compensator sets the first output grayscale value to be less than the first input grayscale value in case that the input grayscale values are greater than a reference grayscale value.

DISPLAY PANEL AND DISPLAY DRIVE METHOD THEREOF, AND DISPLAY DEVICE

A display panel and a display drive method thereof, and a display device are provided. The display panel comprises two parallel and non-overlapping display regions connected to individual scan drive circuits. The display drive method adjusts the pulse width of the light-emitting control signal for each display regions to adjust their respective light-emitting durations within a display period. This method enhances the display quality by avoiding the appearance of a yin-yang screen and improving the display brightness of each display region.

Provided are a display method and a display apparatus capable of appropriately displaying a video on a display in a finder while considering user's convenience. In an embodiment of the invention, video data is acquired by imaging under ambient light, display data based on the video data is created, and a display video corresponding to the display data is displayed on the display in the finder. Then, in a case where intensity of the ambient light is equal to or greater than a first threshold value, lightness of the display video displayed on the display in the finder is made brighter than lightness of a first standard video or in a case where the intensity of the ambient light is equal to or less than a second threshold value, the lightness of the display video displayed on the display in the finder is made darker than lightness of a second standard video.

DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING IMAGE BURN-IN THEREOF

A display apparatus is provided, which includes a display panel and a display controller. The display controller calculates an image average brightness of each image in a video signal from a host. When an absolute difference between a first image average brightness of a current image and a second image average brightness of a previous image is smaller than a predetermined value, the display controller activates a timer to obtain a timer value. When the timer value reaches a first duration, the display controller reduces brightness of each pixel in the current image by a first ratio. When the timer value reaches a second duration, the display controller reduces the brightness of each pixel in the current image by a second ratio. The second duration is longer than the first duration, and the second ratio is higher than the first ratio.
