CURRENT LIMITING CIRCUIT, DISPLAY DEVICE, AND CURRENT LIMITING METHOD
A current limiting circuit includes: a delay circuit that receives a video signal, and outputs a delay signal obtained by delaying the video signal by a time period corresponding to one frame; a calculation circuit that receives the video signal, and calculates a gain by which the delay signal is to be multiplied, based on power consumption of the pixels corresponding to the delay signal and power consumption of the pixels corresponding to the video signal; and a gain multiplication circuit that multiplies the delay signal by the gain.
Image processing device and image processing method
The image processing device includes a luminance modulator, a backlight control gain adjustment unit, a peak value detector, and a histogram detector. The peak value detector calculates a peak value as a maximum luminance value in a prescribed region of the video input signal inputted. The histogram detector calculates frequency distribution about the luminance value of the video input signal. Based on the peak value calculated by the peak value detector and the frequency distribution calculated by the histogram detector, the luminance modulator converts a luminance value of the video input signal into a luminance value of the video output signal and outputs the video output signal, for every pixel. The backlight control gain adjustment unit creates the backlight control signal based on the peak value.
Content adaptive backlight power saving technology
A hybrid phase-in method mitigates the flicker and rolling artifact based on screen change detection or the combination of screen change detection and image spatial analysis. It applies, for example, to solutions that involve backlight and pixel modulation including global dimming and local dimming. If it is full screen change, then no phase-in is needed and the backlight and pixel change can be applied instantly. If it is partial screen change, then content type and spatial image analysis may be used to decide whether to use phase-in or not. The spatial image analysis concept provides additional useful information besides the image brightness analysis for display backlight power saving solutions to make better tradeoffs between power saving and visual quality.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING BRIGHTNESS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A method and a device for adjusting brightness are provided. The method includes that: when a change in ambient brightness is detected, a target screen brightness a screen is to achieve is acquired. An adjustment parameter for adjusting the screen from current screen brightness to the target screen brightness is determined based on the target screen brightness. The adjustment parameter includes at least an adjustment duration. While adjusting screen brightness, change progress information of the screen brightness is displayed synchronously on an interface displayed on the screen, according to the adjustment duration in the adjustment parameter.
POWER SUPPLY DEVICE, DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME AND POWER SUPPLY METHOD
A display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus includes a display configured to display an image, an image signal provider circuit configured to provide an image signal to the display, and a power supply configured to generate driving power and to supply the generated driving power to the image signal provider, wherein the power supply controls an operation time of a power factor compensation (PFC) circuit which performs power factor compensation of the display apparatus based on a size of an output load receiving the driving voltage.
Method and device for controlling screen backlight, method and device for setting screen backlight, and multi-screen terminal
Disclosed is a method for controlling screen backlight, the method includes: determining a basic setting value V0, where the basic setting value V0 is a value set for backlight brightness of a first screen and backlight brightness of a second screen; calculating a setting value V1 of the backlight brightness of the first screen and a setting value V2 of the backlight brightness of the second screen respectively based on V0; and adjusting the backlight brightness of the first screen and the backlight brightness of the second screen according to V1 and V2 respectively. Further disclosed are a device for controlling screen backlight, a multi-screen terminal, a storage medium, a method and device for setting screen backlight, and a multi-screen terminal.
DISPLAY BRIGHTNESS UPDATING
Computing devices and methods for controlling light output of a display are disclosed. In one example, a default brightness setting is set to an indoor light output level. A UV light sensor is activated to detect UV radiation levels. Based on determining that one or more of the UV radiation levels exceed a UV threshold, the default brightness setting is updated to correspond to an outdoor light output level that is greater than the indoor light output level. Without using information from an ambient light sensor, the display is activated from a deactivated state to illuminate at the updated default brightness setting corresponding to the outdoor light output level.
Display driver and display device having variable refresh rate synchronization function suppressing flicker occurrence
The present invention includes a common voltage generation part, a reference gamma voltage generation part, a gamma compensation part, a gradation voltage generating circuit, and a DA conversion part. The common voltage generation part generates a common voltage by amplifying a reference common voltage and applies the common voltage to a common electrode of a display panel. The reference gamma voltage generation part generates reference gamma voltages. The gamma compensation part takes in a voltage of the common electrode as a feedback common voltage from the display panel and generates compensation reference gamma voltages in which voltage values of the respective reference gamma voltages are adjusted on the basis of a difference between the feedback common voltage and the reference common voltage. The gradation voltage generating circuit generates gradation voltages on the basis of the compensation reference gamma voltages. The DA conversion part selects a gradation voltage corresponding to a display data piece from the gradation voltages.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING MINI LED BACKLIGHT TELEVISION PICTURE
The present disclosure relates to a method and a device for adjusting a MINI LED backlight television picture, and discloses that when a television backlight module adopts a MINI LED backlight lamp bead, according to a route of a motion track in a motion picture, the next dark field in an edge area is pre-lightened at a higher refresh rate or an edge of a bright picture is subjected to black shielding when a brightness of previous and next frames changes obviously, thereby improving the picture display effect.
Multi-touch input discrimination
Techniques for identifying and discriminating between different types of contacts to a multi-touch touch-screen device are described. Illustrative contact types include fingertips, thumbs, palms and cheeks. By way of example, thumb contacts may be distinguished from fingertip contacts using a patch eccentricity parameter. In addition, by non-linearly deemphasizing pixels in a touch-surface image, a reliable means of distinguishing between large objects (e.g., palms) from smaller objects (e.g., fingertips, thumbs and a stylus) is described.
