DISPLAY DEVICE
The present disclosure provides a display device. The display device includes a gain provider for gradually decreasing a gain value from a first time when a first period elapses from a time at which an enable signal is generated, and a plurality of pixels for receiving data voltages determined by the gain value and the input grayscale values. The gain provider determines a length of the first period according to a first load value based on the input grayscale values at the time at which the enable signal is generated.
OR-FUNCTION ILLUMINATION IN PHASED BITPLANES IN A HIGH DYNAMIC RANGE PROJECTOR
OR-function illumination in phased bitplanes in a high dynamic range projector is provided, which can be used to reduce flicker artifacts. The projector comprises: a light source; a premod display; a prime display, the premod display configured to modulate light from the light source to illuminate the prime display; and, a computing device. The computing device drives the prime display according to a phased sequence to transition the prime display from a leading bitplane to a following bitplane. The computing device is further configured to, at least in a time period corresponding to the prime display being driven according to the phased sequence, drive adjacent pixel groups of the premod display according to an OR-function of premod versions of respective portions of each of at least the leading bitplane and the following bitplane.
Backlight control method and apparatus for backlight module, display device
The present disclosure relates to a backlight control method and apparatus for a backlight module, a display device and a computer readable storage medium. The backlight module includes a plurality of backlight partitions. The backlight control method includes, for each backlight partition: determining a first brightness change threshold according to an output backlight brightness corresponding to a previous frame image; and determining, according to a difference between an initial backlight brightness of a current frame image and the output backlight brightness corresponding to the previous frame image and the first brightness change threshold, the output backlight brightness corresponding to the current frame image.
Display device and driving method thereof
A display device includes: a gain provider configured to set a time point elapsed by a set period from a time point at which a first region of an input image is detected as a still region, as a set time, and to gradually decrease a gain value from the set time; and a grayscale converter configured to generate an output image by applying the gain value to the first region and a second region including a peripheral region of the first region among the input image, wherein the gain provider is configured to set the set period differently according to size of grayscale values in the first region.
Systems and methods for adapting display brightness to match privacy filter usage
Systems and methods are provided that may be implemented to increase display panel brightness consistency when using an electronically-activated privacy filter of an information handling system to switch back and forth between a private viewing mode and a non-private viewing mode. The provided systems and methods may automatically vary the brightness intensity of currently-active display panel backlight/s without user control so as to compensate for changes in the display panel brightness that would otherwise occur due to changes in the number of active backlights caused by switching between private viewing mode and non-private viewing mode.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TRANSITION BETWEEN LUMINANCE LEVELS
A device and a method for outputting video content for display on a display. At least one processor displays a first video content on the display, receives a second video content to display, obtains a first luminance value for the first video content, extracts a second luminance value from the second video content, adjusts a luminance of a frame of the second video content based on the first and second luminance values and outputs the frame of the second video content for display on the display. The video content can comprise frames and a luminance value can be equal to an average frame light level for the most recent L frames of the corresponding video content. In case a luminance value is unavailable, a Maximum Frame Average Light Levels of the first video content and the second video content can be used instead.
Liquid Crystal Display Apparatus and Television Receiver
A liquid crystal television increases or decreases a gradation value when the gradation value of an image signal to be displayed on a liquid crystal panel is within a prescribed range. Further, the liquid crystal television decreases or increases the luminance depending to the gradation value of the image signal based on the increase or decrease in the gradation value. The liquid crystal television applies a voltage depending on the gradation value after the change to the liquid crystal panel, such that a transmittance in the liquid crystal panel is changed (increased or decreased). Further, the liquid crystal television controls each light source to emit light with the luminance after the change, such that the luminance of the light radiated to the liquid crystal panel from the light source is changed (decreased or increased).
Electronic device, method for controlling electronic device, and computer readable medium
An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device comprises a sensor, and a processor for acquiring the surrounding illuminance of the electronic device through the sensor, confirming a gain value for adjusting the gradation value of an image on the basis of the surrounding illuminance of the electronic device, and adjusting the gradation value of the image on the basis of the gain value, wherein the gain value is a value determined on the basis of visual sensitivity characteristics of a user.
IMAGE DISPLAYING APPARATUS, CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF, AND PROGRAM
An image displaying apparatus comprises a first light source section and a second light source section each configured to be able to change a percentage of a radiation luminous flux, and a controlling unit configured to control the first light source section and the second light source section such that the percentage of the radiation luminous flux obtained by combining together the radiation luminous flux from the first light source section and the radiation luminous flux from the second light source section continuously changes.
Anti-crosstalk method and apparatus for image of 3D liquid crystal display apparatus
Disclosed are an anti-crosstalk method and apparatus for an image of a 3D liquid crystal display apparatus. The method comprises: determining, according to a prestored mapping relationship between a temperature value and backlight on delay duration, backlight on delay duration corresponding to a current temperature value of a 3D liquid crystal display apparatus, performing delay adjustment on a backlight on time node according to the determined delay duration, and controlling a backlight source to be switched on according to the time node after delay adjustment. An on time of a backlight source is correspondingly adjusted at a different temperature, so that time nodes of image switching and switch-on of a backlight are synchronized, thereby reducing the occurrence of a 3D display crosstalk of a 3D liquid crystal display apparatus to enable a user to browse a clearer and more realistic 3D image.
