A safety glove having a protective member or insert extending around the fingertip of the safety glove is provided. The protective member may be positioned along the outer surface or the inner surface of the glove. Alternatively, the protective member may be integrally formed between two layers of glove material. The protective member terminates distally from an interphalangeal joint line to enable finger flexion in order to grasp an item, such as a slab of meat to be deskinned in a skinning machine. The glove may include a rough outer surface formed from thrice dipping the glove and allowing the glove to cure. Additionally, the glove may have a width near the wrist that is wider than the width near the palm to enable the glove to be rapidly removed (i.e., doffed) in an emergency event of the glove getting caught in a rotating blade on the skinning machine.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MAKING GLOVES

A disclosed method for manufacturing a glove includes forming a base via molding, the base being shaped to include a palm portion and one or more extremity portions. The method also includes forming a top skin via molding, the top skin including one or more compartments, and forming a backhand assembly by attaching one or more edges of the one or more compartments of the top skin to the base. At least one remaining edge of each of the one or more compartments is unattached from the base. The method also includes reversing an orientation of the backhand assembly, filling each of the one or more compartments of the top skin with foam, and attaching the at least one remaining edge of each of the one or more compartments to the base.

Touch glove and smart wearable system

The present invention provides a touch glove and smart wearable system, wherein a contact area, at least one touch area, a control module and a signal transmission module are disposed on the glove body; when the touch area is touched by the contact area, a control signal is generated and transmitted to a corresponding smart device, controlling it to perform a corresponding operation. Thus, control over the smart device may be achieved by only making one part of the touch glove touch another part without directly contacting the smart device, which is especially convenient when the smart device is inconvenient to be directly contacted; meanwhile operations over a plurality of smart devices may be integrated into the touch glove, control over each smart device may be achieved by only moving fingers instead of moving the smart device and the arms, and even blind operation may be achieved without using eyes.

Laminated glove, device and method of making same

A layered, laminated glove includes an outer layer, a membrane formed from a liquid-resistant, air permeable material positioned on an inner surface of the outer layer and a liner formed from a moisture absorbing material. The liner is positioned on an inner surface of the membrane. The outer layer, membrane and liner are laminated to form a single glove. The glove includes a plurality of fingertip portions in which the outer layer, membrane and liner are substantially fully laminated throughout. The glove may include a 3D pattern formed in one or more layers of the laminate. The glove may include an enlarged knuckle section. A hand mold and system for making the gloves and a method are also disclosed.

Highly chemical resistant glove

A chemical resistant composite glove that includes a first polymeric layer in the shape of a glove; and a second polymeric layer disposed on the first polymeric layer, and wherein the first polymeric layer is specified for one class of chemical resistance and the second polymeric layer is specified for a second class of chemical resistance, and optionally a third polymeric layer, which may be a thin coating, disposed on at least one of first polymeric layer or the second polymeric layer and is optionally specified for a third class of chemical resistance.

Coated fabric and process for forming a polymeric coating on a liner

Fabrics are disclosed having a liner with a polymeric coating, the coating comprising 0.25 to 8 ridges per cm and pits at an area density of 20 to 2500 cm.sup.2. The fabrics provide good friction in oily conditions. Also disclosed are methods for producing such fabrics comprising applying to a liner a liquid comprising water and a precursor of a polymeric material, contacting the liquid on the liner with a water-sorbing material and curing the polymeric coating. The fabrics may find use in gloves.
