Electronic apparatus and control method thereof
An electronic apparatus includes a plurality of pads, each of the plurality of pads including a touch sensor and an acceleration sensor, a sound output interface configured to output sounds that are set to the respective pads, a display configured to display visual feedback, and a processor configured to, in response to the touch sensor in a pad among the plurality of pads detecting a touch of the pad, and the acceleration sensor in the pad detecting an intensity of the touch that is greater than or equal to a value, determine that a beat is performed on the pad, control the sound output interface to output a sound that is set to the pad on which the beat is determined to be performed, with a magnitude corresponding to an intensity of the beat, and control the display to display the visual feedback corresponding to the beat determined to be performed.
Beat detection and enhancement
A system encourages experimentation with audio frequency and speaker technologies while causing an inanimate figure to appear to dance. The system applies a bandpass filter to an incoming audio stream (e.g., in a low frequency bass band). The system monitors the magnitude of the audio content in a frequency band of interest. When an amplitude peak or other threshold magnitude is detected, a controller injects a short pulse (e.g., 3 cycles) of a sub-audible low frequency sine wave to a platform. Preferably, the sub-audible low frequency sine wave is at a resonance frequency of the platform to maximize its movement. The figure is positioned on the platform and appears to dance to the beat of the music.

Electronic music box
Music data memory includes pieces of music within a group and other pieces of music outside the group. The next piece to be played is automatically determined by random table among pieces within the group. Favorite or newest piece is weighted to be more frequently played in the group. Piece in music data memory is automatically included into the group by random table. Newly downloaded piece into music data memory is included into the group by priority. Most frequently played piece is excluded from the group in place of newly included piece. Favorite or newest piece may be an exception of exclusion. Next piece is capable of being played in tempo similar to that of preceding piece by means of tempo-adjusted or piece replacement or repetition of the same piece for the purpose of continued baby cradling in synchronism with the same tempo of succeeding pieces.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO IMPROVE A USERS MENTAL STATE
Systems and methods to improve a user's mental state are disclosed. The method includes determining a mental state of a user. The method also includes determining a baseline mental state. The method further includes determining a musical performance that improves the mental state of the user to the baseline mental state. The method further includes providing a request to an electronic device to provide the musical performance to the user.
Music selection and adaptation for exercising
Methods, devices, systems, and computer programs are presented for providing music while exercising. One method includes an operation for receiving a request for a music segment from a computing device. The request includes the pace of exercise of a user associated with the computing device. The music segment is selected based on the pace, and the music segment is modified to correlate the tempo of the music segment to the pace of exercise. The modified music segment is sent to the computing device to be played in one or more speakers to provide music that is correlated to the exercise.
INTERACTIVE DIGITAL MUSIC RECORDER AND PLAYER
A digital multi-media device provides features for a user unskilled in musical arts or sound handling techniques that provides automatic musical score composition in accordance with contained composition instructions. Stored sound samples and interfaces for obtaining external signals provide signals for merger with visual and sound presentations to obtain altered presentations either time shifted or in real time. In this fashion the user can create simulated radio stations for playback of prearranged and composed audio material. Further, the automatically composed musical score may be mixed with synthesized, digitized signals from the stored sound samples and external signals obtained through the device interfaces.
SOUND PRODUCTION CONTROL APPARATUS, SOUND PRODUCTION CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A sound production control apparatus by which a sound production mode is controlled on the basis of a player's motion even during a non-playing control operation period. An information obtaining unit 30 obtains detection information by detecting a player's motion. A sound processing unit 36 produces sound on the basis of the detection information obtained in response to operation for generating a sound trigger in the player's motion, and controls a sound production mode on the basis of the detection information obtained in response to operation for generating no sound trigger in the player's motion.
ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT, CONTROL METHOD FOR ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An electronic musical instrument includes a performance operator and at least one processor. In accordance with pitch data associated with the performance operator operated by a user, the at least one processor digitally synthesizes and outputs inferential musical sound data including inferential performance technique of a player. The inferential performance technique of the player is based on acoustic feature data output by a trained acoustic model obtained by performing machine learning on: a training score data set including training pitch data; and a training performance data set obtained by the player playing a musical instrument and is not played in the user operation of the performance operator.
