Electric Guitar Strings of Magnetic Copper Alloys
Guitar strings made of a magnetic copper-nickel-tin-manganese alloy are disclosed. Also disclosed are processing steps that can be performed to fabricate the guitar strings from the alloy. Further described herein are alternative uses for the strings on other electric stringed instruments.
System and method for switching sound pickups in an electric guitar using a spin wheel arrangement
The embodiments herein provide a system and method for instantly switching sound pickups in an electric guitar using a spin wheel arrangement in the middle of a song. The spin wheel houses a pickup assembly with multiple pickups. The spin wheel allows a guitar player to easily roll neck pickup to bridge position and bridge pickup to neck position in middle of a song by rotating the spin wheel. A click stop arrangement halts wheel rotation after completing a semi-circular rotation around a center screw. The backend portion of pickups is connected to spring loaded plunger. The contact pads at bottom portion of guitar body establishes electrical connections between pickups and control components. The pickups under the strings get activated. The spin wheel arrangement allows a guitar player to add favorite pickups for generating various tonalities beyond the limit of a single guitar.

Audio interface arrangement and a handheld device comprising the audio interface arrangement
The present disclosure generally relates to an audio interface arrangement. In one embodiment, a handheld device comprises the audio interface arrangement (not shown). The audio interface arrangement comprises at least two audio connecting means, wherein each of the at least two audio connecting means is adapted to connect a respective audio accessory to the audio interface arrangement. The audio interface arrangement further comprises an accessory determining means, which is coupled to said at least two audio connecting means. The accessory determining means is adapted to determine which type of audio accessory is connected to the respective audio connecting means. Hereby it is made possible to provide a handheld device that offers a user with a possibility to connect several different audio accessories to the handheld device, which accessories may be connected to the handheld device at the same time.
Humbucker pickup device for active and passive guitars
A humbucker pickup device for active and passive guitars including a matched pair of elongated coil assemblies with two sets of ferrous pole pieces also includes two elongated, transversely polarized permanent magnets positioned between and parallel to the coils. The magnets are beside each other with opposite poles facing each other. The magnets and said two sets of pole pieces create two narrow magnetic fields under each string to interact with it at two points. The humbucker device includes an improved differential amplifier built from two or three operational amplifiers. Alternatively, the device may include a steel plate positioned between the magnets and extending to the strings for weakening a wide magnetic field between pole pieces of the different sets. Both embodiments, with and without the plate, are described.
Pickup coil sensors and methods for adjusting frequency response characteristics of pickup coil sensors
Coils for receiving or transmitting electromagnetic signals comprising a plurality of concurrently wound and fully or partially interpenetrating windings for which the resonance frequency can be varied over a broad range. The presently described embodiments provide for electromagnetic pickups for stringed musical instruments; however, it is appreciated that other embodiments providing for a wide variety of devices comprising pickup coil sensors are apparent. It is also apparent that a wide variety of devices are possible in which coils with concurrently wound and interpenetrating windings will serve as transmitting coils.
ELECTRONIC STRINGED INSTRUMENT, MUSICAL SOUND CONTROL METHOD AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An electronic stringed instrument includes: at least one linear string member to be plucked by a user; a plurality of string support members each supporting the string member at different positions in a longitudinal direction of the string member, each of the string support members being individually deformable in accordance with a plucking of the string member by the user; a plurality of sensors that output signals indicating respective deformation states of the plurality of string support members, wherein the respective deformation states of the plurality of string support members may be different from each other depending on a way the string member is plucked; and at last one processor configured to generate a musical tone control signal based on the signals output from the plurality of sensors.
Fulcrum tremolo spring locking claw and claw resonator plate
Sonic improvement for all stringed instruments that employ a fulcrum tremolo bridge system with back of instrument counter tensioning springs. The improvement is provided by securing springs to claw assembly, as well as securing claw assemble to a flat plate of material which is in turn secured to instrument body. The claw and resonator plate can be fabricated as two individual pieces then fastened together or as a combined one piece assemble that is then fastened to instrument body.
