In combined methods for treating a patient using time-varying magnetic field, treatment methods combine various approaches for aesthetic treatment. A magnetic field generating device is placed proximate to a body region of the patient. The magnetic field generating device generates a time-varying magnetic field with a magnetic flux density in a range of 0.5 to 7 Tesla. The time-varying magnetic field is applied to the body region of the patient in order to cause a contraction of a muscle within the body region. A second therapy may be used by applying one or more of optical waves, radio frequency waves, mechanical waves, negative or positive pressure or heat to the body region of the patient.

A heat generator comprises a heat-generating composition that generates heat upon contact with air, a storage bag that can store the heat-generating composition in a storage part inside thereof, and an adhesive layer provided on one surface of the storage bag. The storage bag has, in plan view, an outer shape having a constricted part recessed inward between two convexly protruding first apex and second apex; and the storage bag is provided with a dividing part that divides the storage part and allows the storage bag to be folded between the first apex and the second apex.

A pain relief system and apparatus, comprising a main body formed of one or more sections adapted to surround a person's waist; a compression element, a heating element within said one or more sections operable to heat the entire area of the one or more sections of the main body and apparatus, and an adjustable belt means to maintain the main body in engagement over said person's waist. Optionally, the pain relief system may include at least one inflatable bladder adapted to create a compression force on the person's abdomen when inflated, a massage element, and may be wireless.

Devices, systems and methods for removing heat from subcutaneously disposed lipid-rich cells are disclosed. In selected embodiments, suction and/or heat removal sources are coupled to an applicator. The applicator includes a flexible portion and a rigid portion. The rigid portion includes a thermally conductive plate and a frame coupling the thermally conductive plate and the flexible portion. An interior cavity of the applicator is in fluid communication with the suction source, and the frame maintains contiguous engagement between the heat removal source and the thermally conductive plate.

Methods are provided for reducing body fat, volume of fat pads, and/or lipoma(s) in a subject. The methods as provided herein may include injecting a fat-sculpting liquid into a treatment region of the subject, wherein the fat-sculpting liquid has a temperature of 25 C. to 10 C. when injected and is substantially free of frozen particulates. The methods for reducing body fat in a subject may further include injecting a fat-sculpting liquid comprising saline and benzyl alcohol into a treatment region of the subject, wherein the fat-sculpting liquid has a temperature of 15 C. to 5 C. when injected and is substantially free of frozen particulates.

A self-heating belly band for wrapping around an infant is provided. The belly band includes a multi-layer fabric construction that captures the infant's body heat and then reuses it to warm the infant's stomach and internal organs thereby providing the infant relief. The belly band also provides pressure on the infant's waist to provide the infant a cuddling, soothing, and comfort feel. Hook and loop fastener strips on top and bottom layers of the belly band allow wrapping and tightness adjustment around the infant's stomach.

The invention also includes a method of controlling infusion of a fluid to a patient. The method includes the following steps: monitoring a patient parameter with a sensor to generate a sensor signal; providing the sensor signal to a controller; and adjusting fluid flow to the patient based on the sensor signal without removing fluid from the patient.

A wearable cooling apparatus (2) comprising a pad (4), an inlet valve (6), a channel (8), and a thermally conductive membrane (10). The channel (8) is an open-sided recess formed in the surface of the pad (4) and the pad (4) is secured to the membrane (10) such that the open side of the channel (8) is covered by the membrane (10). The covered channel (8) forms a conduit (11) arranged between the pad (4) and the membrane (10), wherein the walls of the conduit (11) comprise the surface of the pad (4) and the surface of the membrane (10) and the inlet valve (6) is arranged in fluid communication with the conduit (11).
