Wearable Back Pad for Use with Topical Pain Relief
A wearable back pad used to deliver targeted topical pain relief. The wearable vest or wrap product enables a person to apply topical pain-relievers right where it is needed in cases of unilateral neck or back pain or to the upper back area that is not reachable by the person's own hands. The back pad will act as a vehicle to hold and deliver the pain-relievers in the form of consumable patch or a pocket-insert that is placed by the users themselves in the specified area with the goal of maintaining the person's independence and decreasing the need for helping hands. Back pad consumables can hold and deliver anti-itch and skin care preparations to the back hence expanding this product's indication for use.
Thermal Therapy Garment System
A thermal therapy garment system includes a garment assembly having a compression garment including an outer surface, an inner surface having a pocket, and a thermal pack. The pocket is located on the inner surface of the compression garment and is strategically placed on the compression garment such that thermal therapy is enabled on a target area of a body of a user-wearer. The target area of the body of the user-wearer is a muscle, a joint, or both. A compression garment may be worn underneath everyday clothing and may be concealed under everyday clothing.
MEDICAL DEVICES FOR GENERATING HEAT AND METHODS OF TREATMENT USING SAME
A device comprising a heat-generating component that comprises an alkali metal is provided. The alkali metal in the presence of water at a point of contact of the device undergoes an exothermic reaction to generate heat in situ. The amount of heat generated is proportional to and/or limited by the amount (or moles) of water at the point of contact, and the heat generated is sufficient to achieve an increase in temperature at the point of contact to achieve a therapeutic or beneficial result. In one embodiment, the device is used for reducing sweat production in a subject suffering from excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis. In other embodiments, the device is used to substantially sterilize a surface or render a surface substantially aseptic.
Universal Wrap for Securing a Thermal Pack
A system and method for providing a universal wrap that can apply a thermal pack to many different regions of a patient's body. The universal wrap is provided in a standardized form. The medical provider is provided with options to modify the standardized form in order to adapt the wrap to many different applications.
Altering temperature in a mammalian body
The present application relates to systems and methods for altering temperature in a mammalian body. Optionally, the systems and methods can be used to lower or raise core body temperature of a mammalian subject. Optionally, the systems and methods can be used to lower or raise the temperature of glabrous skin of a mammalian subject.
Energy emission device
The present invention provides an energy emission device comprising: one or a plurality of energy emitters for emitting at least one type of energy selected from the group consisting of an electromagnetic wave or an electromagnetic stimulation, an elastic wave, an oscillatory wave and heat to at least one position of a subject selected from the group consisting of the brain, the spinal cord, the cerebrospinal fluid or the flow passage thereof and the brain cell interstitial fluid or the flow passage thereof; an energy controller for controlling an amount of energy emitted from the energy emitters; and a sensor for obtaining information relating to wakefulness and/or a sleeping state of the subject, in which the energy controller controls the amount of energy emitted depending on the information relating to the wakefulness and/or the sleeping state.
THERAPEUTIC THERMAL COMPRESS WITH PHASE-CHANGE MATERIAL
A therapeutic device such as an eye mask or compress for delivery of moist heat therapy to a body part such as an eye of a human or animal subject. Example devices are configured to be worn with one or more eye coverage portions positioned over the subject's eye(s). The eye coverage portions have a front side configured for placement against the treated body part, and a back side opposite the front side. The eye coverage portions include recesses or retracted sections configured to be positioned over the wearer's cornea area. The shell of the eye coverage portions may further incorporate antimicrobial properties. Heat transfer mediums or fill materials can include hydrophilic zeolite, silica gel, and/or one or more phase change materials so as to provide controlled performance characteristics.
Protective Clothing And Apparel For Pets And Animals And Method Of Use
Protective clothing and apparel for pets and animals, and method of using same, structured as a shirt and/or hat made of an ultraviolet protective rash guard material with at least on portion having cooling crystals integrated therein. In a first embodiment the clothing is directed to a pet shirt constructed having a top portion, bottom portion, and side portions arranged to form a generally tubular member having an opened torso end, two leg members, and a collar member. In a second embodiment the clothing is directed to a pet hat constructed having a top portion, side portions and a front portion having a visor member attached thereto, the side portions having a lower rim. Two ear members and securement means are integrated within the lower rim of the side portions. At least a portion of the shirt/hat comprises ultraviolet properties. Additionally, at least a portion of the shirt/hat comprises a cooling zone formed of a plurality of cooling crystals. Owing to the ultraviolet material and cooling crystals the pet clothing shields pets/dogs from harmful ultraviolet rays while keeping them cool and comfortable and mitigating heat exhaustion.
Therapeutic wrap
The subject matter of the invention relates to therapy wraps for the application of compression and/or thermal therapy to a patient. The wraps are formed of at least two layers of material which are sealed together to form at least one cavity between them. The wraps may be used in conjunction with a therapy machine which fills the cavity or cavities of the wraps with fluid such as a gas and/or a liquid. The unique shapes of the wraps are particularly suitable for providing therapy to the human body. The shapes permit the manipulation of the wraps around various portions of the human body such as the shoulder, back and foot.
HEATING DEVICE
A heating device includes: a temperature change unit that changes a temperature of a temperature change area; an induction unit that applies a stimulus to an induction area; and a controller, wherein the induction area is an area on skin surface, or an area that occupies a space that can be perspectively projected on the skin surface, the induction area is an area that does not overlap with the temperature change area, the induction unit applies at least one of a tactile stimulus and a visual stimulus to the induction area, the controller executes a first control for changing a temperature of a first temperature change area of the temperature change area and a second control for applying a stimulus to a first induction area of the induction area, and the second control is performed in accordance with the first control.
