A learning device assembly for a stringed instrument includes one or more light strip members, at least one light element in the one or more light strips, a connecting member electrically connected to the one or more light strip members, a controller electrically connected to the connecting member and configured to electrically drive the at least one light element in the one or more light strip members and a computing device communicatively coupled to the controller, the computing device configured to be programmed with or more music arrangements and enable the controller to illuminate one or more of the at least one light element in the one or more light strip members to enable a playing of one or more music arrangements on the stringed instrument.

An apparatus to detect, analyze, record, and display audio data, including an input unit to allow a user to input musical notes corresponding to the audio data, a processor to analyze the musical notes and to save the musical notes into a file, and a display unit to display notes corresponding to the musical notes on a virtual instrument.

Exemplary embodiments are directed to music synchronization systems including an electronic artist audio database with a plurality of artist audio files and an electronic data database including a plurality of data files corresponding to the respective plurality of artist audio files. Each of the data files includes data relating to fingering positions for an instrument. The systems include a processing device configured to execute a synchronization engine that receives as input an artist audio file from the electronic artist audio database and a corresponding data file from the electronic data database, and outputs via a graphical user interface a synchronized music lesson for the artist audio file. A method and system for teaching oneself to learn to play a string instrument and master it by analyzing ones real-time hand/finger movement/technique/form, enabling oneself to progress and correct ones own mistakes simultaneously. In one aspect, a system for learning to play a string instrument is provided that includes a simulation instrument that includes a plurality of strings, wherein at least one of the strings includes at least one-touch sensing sensor thereon in communication with at least one processor to receive a signal from the at least one touch-sensing sensor and determine therefrom when and where on the at least one string a user applies pressure to the at least one string.
