20210295810 · 2021-09-23 ·

A parameter control device according to an embodiment includes a value acquiring unit and a parameter output unit. The value acquiring unit acquires an indicating value of a first operation element. The parameter output unit outputs a plurality of parameter values corresponding to the acquired indicating value, based on setting information and a correspondence relation between the indicating value and a coordinate in an area defined by a plurality of coordinate axes. The setting information is for setting a relation between a plurality of parameter values and a coordinate. The plurality of parameter values being for controlling a state of content.

Method of and system for automated musical arrangement and musical instrument performance style transformation supported within an automated music performance system

An automated music performance system that is driven by the music-theoretic state descriptors of any musical structure (e.g. a music composition or sound recording). The system can be used with next generation digital audio workstations (DAWs), virtual studio technology (VST) plugins, virtual music instrument libraries, and automated music composition and generation engines, systems and platforms. The automated music performance system generates unique digital performances of pieces of music, using virtual musical instruments created from sampled notes or sounds and/or synthesized notes or sounds. Each virtual music instrument has its own set of music-theoretic state responsive performance rules that are automatically triggered by the music theoretic state descriptors of the music composition or performance to be digitally performed. An automated virtual music instrument (VMI) library selection and performance subsystem is provided for managing the virtual musical instruments during the automated digital music performance process.

Graphical interface for selecting a musical drum kit on an electronic drum module

An electronic-drum module for connection to one or more electronic-drum pads is provided. The module includes an electronic display, a memory storing audio files for playback when the playback is triggered by a signal received from a pad, and one or more processors coupled to the electronic display and the memory. The processors are configured to play the audio files when the playback is triggered and display, on the display, a user interface for an application. The user interface for the application includes a list of available trigger sources. The processors are also configured to receive an instruction to select an available trigger source and display, on the display, a list of available drum kits to associate with the available trigger source. The processors are also configured to display images of the available drum kits in response to receiving an instruction to select an available drum kit.

Systems and methods for generating a graphical representation of audio-file playback during playback manipulation

Systems and methods for generating a graphical representation of audio-file playback during playback manipulation are provided. The system may include a processor that performs a method including displaying a waveform during audio-file playback by scrolling the waveform from a right to a left portion of a display. The method includes receiving a command to manipulate the audio-file playback and displaying a first half of the waveform corresponding to the manipulated audio-file playback until a command is received to resume the audio-file playback. The first half of the waveform is a portion of the waveform adjacent to a horizontal or vertical axis. The method includes simultaneously displaying a second half of the waveform and displaying the first half of the waveform corresponding to the manipulated audio-file playback. The second half of the waveform is on an opposite side of the axis from the first half of the waveform.
