BODY TEMPERATURE MANAGEMENT DEVICES AND METHODS
Disclosed are devices and methods for body temperature management using a heat exchange device carrying a heat transfer medium to heat or cool a desired, focused portion of a patient's body. In accordance with certain aspects of the invention, the heat exchange device includes a steerable tip that may be manipulated via a steerable control apparatus to route the device through the patient's body to the intended location of treatment. Methods of using such heat exchange device to effect temperature management of the patient's organs are also disclosed.
DEVICES FOR DUAL MECHANISM AESTHETIC TREATMENT AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The systems and methods in accordance with the principles of the invention can promote correction of an aesthetic or functional defect in a target tissue. A method can include non-invasively applying a cooling agent to a surface of a target tissue; and cooling one or more tissue layers of said target tissue to a predetermined therapeutic temperature, wherein applying the cooling agent is performed such that cryoablation of said one or more layers of the target tissue does not occur. The system can include: a controller and a probe having a distal end configured for non-invasive contact with a surface of a target tissue to cool the target tissue based on treatment parameters.
HOT AND COLD PACK WITH A CLOSABLE POUCH
An apparatus is provided. The apparatus may include a gel pack. The gel pack may contain the gel filling. The gel filling may measure between about 110-250 grams. The apparatus may include a top cover and a bottom cover. The top cover and the bottom cover may be comprised of nylon and PVC. The top cover and the bottom cover may measure between about 22-26 centimeters long and between about 6.5-8.5 centimeters wide, when measured flat. The gel pack may be frozen and/or heated.
Assembly for gluteal cleft moisture reduction
An assembly for gluteal cleft moisture reduction including a case having a plurality of walls, the case being opened by an air input port; an air tube having upper and lower ends wherein the tube's upper end forms a dorsal extension communicating with an opening in the flexible skin contact plate mounted on the case, the plate ventrally overlying the air tube; an air conduit housed within the case, the conduit having input and output ends communicating with the case's air input port and with the air tube; an electric motor and air impeller combination housed within the case, the combination being adapted for moving air through the air conduit; an electric battery within the case; and a matrix of electric conductors operatively interconnecting the electric motor and the electric battery.
Cryo-Gastrointestinal Activator
Specifically, the invention relates to the discovery and development of an effective cryogenic gastrointestinal triggering device that artificially activates the gastrointestinal tract's involuntary intestinal functions in the application process. Generally, several of the invention's functions relates to a method for decreasing undesirable bacteria in the intestinal tract for achieving a healthy glucose and insulin regulation, inclusive intestinal and body health, and metabolic fitness. The invention has both human and animal application.
APPARATUS FOR THE MOISTURE, MEDICATED, AND THERMAL TREATMENT OF PHSYICAL CONDITIONS
An assembly for the thermal treatment and moisture treatment of physical conditions, the assembly including, a first thermal pack having a body, the body having a first face and a second face, the first face having a first protrusion. The assembly further includes a sleeve operatively arranged to receive the first thermal pack, the sleeve having a first surface. The assembly also includes a medicament pad arranged to be removably secured to the first surface of the sleeve.
System and method of applied contrasting therapy to pelvic regions and human distal anatomy
A system and method for providing Thermal contrast therapy are presented. The system may comprise a fluid membrane barrier, a human interface device (HID), fluid tubing, a pump, and a reservoir. The system may be operable to apply any combination of heat, cold, and pressurized compression, light energy, acoustic energy, and vibratory energy to a therapy recipient for treating anal-prostate-perineal and vaginal areas, as well as podological and other extremities. The system may be operable to impart a desired therapy temperature to the human interface device and to expand a membrane containing a therapy fluid. The expanded membrane may conform to the contours of a therapy site. Operation of the human interface device may be controlled using a remote-control device. The therapy recipient may be able to control the temperature of the fluid or gel, as well as reception of light energy, acoustic energy and vibratory pulsing energy to assist in treatment of one or more conditions.
Endocavity temperature control device
An apparatus for temperature controlling an endocavity such as the rectum during thermal therapy of nearby tissues is disclosed. In some aspects the apparatus is mechanically configured to best conform to the patient. In other aspects the apparatus is designed to eliminate gas bubbles from forming or accumulating in certain volumes that would interfere with the thermal therapy. In other aspects the apparatus is optimized for use in cooling the rectum during ultrasound thermal therapy of the prostate.
HEMORRHOID KIT
A kit for providing pain relief to a user suffering from rectal, anal, colon discomforts, infections or diseases is disclosed herein. The kit for providing pain relief to a user suffering from rectal, anal, colon discomforts, infections or diseases includes at least one cushion-device, at least one cold therapy-device and one or more medicaments. In a preferred embodiment, the kit includes cushioned seats, rectal plugs, underwear with pockets for holding ice-packs therein, lotions, and suppositories.
