HOT/COLD TEMPERATURE TREATMENT APPARATUS
Packs for providing heat or cold to a body part or parts. In some embodiments, packs comprising an outer flexible shell or skin housing or carrying a plurality of beads mixed in combination with a liquid or gel. In some embodiments, packs, which can be (or are) configured into various shapes, which contain heads in combination with a liquid or gel solution, which can be heated or cooled for application, thereafter, to a body part for providing hot or cold therapy to the body part.
Low humidity device for body joint therapy
A self-contained appliance for passive therapy of arthritis discomfort in a bone joint, including a bone joint encompassing element formed of a moisture impermeable barrier material and defining a therapy region about one or more bone joints, and a desiccative agent disposed within the therapy region.
SYSTEM FOR DELIVERING HEAT THERAPY VIA THERMALLY CONTROLLED AIR
The present disclosure describes a system for providing targeted, temperature regulated therapy to a user. The system includes a convective unit and a forced air controller, with the convective unit including a sleeve for securing to a desired portion of the user's anatomy. The convective unit is fluidly coupled to the forced air controller, which is operable to transport a thermally conditioned air stream to an inflatable chamber in the sleeve. The convective unit receives the air stream, inflates, distributes the typically warmed, pressurized air within the inflatable chamber, and emits the air through one or more air permeable surfaces for convective transfer of heat to the body of the wearer enveloped by the sleeve.
Apparatus and method for using a portable thermal device to reduce accommodation of nerve receptors
A system and method for portably delivering a therapeutic dose of heat to the skin to relieve pain, reduce accommodation of thermal nerve receptors, promote healing, and deliver transcutaneous medications. The heating device is user programmable or preprogrammed to deliver according to a variety of cycles, patterns and algorithms. The cycles, patterns, and algorithms of the heat are programmable parameters, are under the user's control, and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the device. The heating algorithms are designed to interact with an individual user's thermal nerve receptors and other tissue characteristics and to reduce the tendency of the receptors to accommodate to the external stimuli with back pain, muscular pain, dysmenorrhea, headaches, fibromyalgia, post-herpetic neuralgia, nerve injuries and neuropathies, and sprains and strain. The device can also be used in conjunction with existing medical devices such as Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulators (TENS) to increase the effectiveness of TENS devices.
V-band therapeutic wrapping systems
A V-band therapeutic wrapping system including a V-wrap pad assembly with a V-wrap pad having; at least one vibrator-receiving-pocket or external Velcro attachment area with first color-coding; at least one endothermic/exothermic chemical reaction gel pack-pocket with a second color coding; a plurality of closers; at least one vibrator; at least one endothermic/exothermic chemical reaction gel pack; and at least one attaching strap. The V-wrap pad assembly is portable. The temperature and vibration treatment, as determined by a user-wearer, is provided by the V-band therapeutic wrapping system to target a core pain by enveloping selected the body surface when coupled to the user-wearer.
Wearable Elbow and Shoulder Non-Impingement Pillow
A pillow for supporting a user's arm. The pillow includes a body defining a substantially circumferential shape around an aperture. The body includes a substantially flat support base, a first curved arm, and a second curved arm. The substantially flat support base defines a substantially flat geometry extending along a first axis to stably contact a substantially flat surface while a user's arm is inserted through the aperture, the body comprising an open state and a closed state. The first curved arm defines a first contact face with a first fastener. The second curved arm defines a second contact face with a second fastener. The first fastener is releasably fastened to the second fastener.
FLEXIBLE JOINT WRAP
A flexible joint wrap includes a heat exchange bladder, which provides fluid circulation and compression to a joint. The joint wrap includes upper and lower sections for attachment above and below a joint. The bladder has an opening at a center section which provides flexibility of the bladder. The heat exchange bladder may be enclosed in a removable cover designed to conform to the shape of the bladder. The cover and bladder are formed with an opening in alignment with the joint to provide flexibility to the wrap. The cover may be formed of a fluid repellant inner lining to prevent fluid from the joint from soiling the bladder. The cover may further comprise a nylon loop outer surface to allow the upper and lower sections to be easily attached and adjusted.
THERMAL INTRAVENOUS SLEEVE
Embodiments of the present disclosure can include a thermal intravenous sleeve. The thermal intravenous sleeve can include a thermally insulative material, wherein the thermally insulative material includes a proximal end, a distal end, first lateral end, and second lateral end, wherein a portion of the first lateral end and the second lateral end are joined, thereby defining an interior sleeve portion and an exterior sleeve portion. In some embodiments, the thermal intravenous sleeve can include a thermal element disposed within the interior sleeve portion. In some embodiments, a tourniquet can be disposed at a proximal end of the thermal intravenous sleeve.
ELBOW HEATING SLEEVE
A therapeutic sleeve that includes: an opening adapted to receive a user's elbow; a plurality of heating elements integrated into the sleeve; and a power source, where the power source provides energy for the plurality of heating elements. The power source includes a battery or a AC power plug.
