COOLING AND WARMING PROTECTOR
A protector includes a body having a cooling/warming device and a connection device. The cooling/warming device includes a bag, a circulation device and a chip, wherein the circulation device is connected to the bag and the chip. Liquid is received in the water bag and circulates within the circulation device, and the chip changes the temperature of the liquid in the circulation device. The connection device is easily attached to the user's body and the temperature of the liquid is set to provide cooling or warming features to the muscles of the user's body.
Post-Operative Medical Recovery Device
A medical recovery device is provided that can be worn by a user following an operation or injury. The medical recovery device may be in the form of a boot to be worn on a foot of the user, which includes one or more windows to provide access to a wound, a cooling system and a compression system to reduce the risk of blood clotting. The medical recovery device may also be in the form of a cast or splint, such as an ankle, knee, wrist or elbow cast.
DEVICE FOR WARMING A MUSCLE
A device for warming or rehabilitating a muscle for maintaining muscle readiness in sporting events or for retaining body heat. The disclosure identifies a device for warming or rehabilitating a muscle that includes a muscle wrap using a nylon layer and an insulation material. The muscle wrap works in combination with at least one fastener band to offer an athlete the ability to conform the device to a body for heat retention while minimizing blood flow restriction. The nylon layer retains internal body moisture to deter evaporative cooling while repelling external moisture to deter temperature reduction in the muscle.
Cryotherapy and Compression Sleeve and Methods of Use
An elastic material or other stretch material formed as a layer or cylinder and capable of holding hot or cold temperature and radiating such temperature through contact and an elastic fabric adhered to the elastic material capable of providing a protective cover and a fabric liner between a user's skin and the elastic material and, thus, functions to conform to user's body providing evenly distributed encompassing cold or hot temperature application, a fabric liner between user's skin and the hot or cold therapy, even application of compression therapy without the need for clips or buckles.
REINFORCED THERAPEUTIC WRAP AND METHOD
A therapy wrap for treatment of at least a portion of an animate body having improved kink resistance. The therapy wrap may be selectively reinforced for improved kink resistance in only a portion of the wrap. The reinforcement may decrease the kink radius. The wrap may include a kink reducer in all or only a selected kink-prone region. The kink reducer may be selectively configured attachment points or spot welds. The therapy wrap may include a reinforcement layer of one or more discrete reinforcement members. The wrap may be formed by pre-tensioning the material layers while forming the fluid bladder and/or gas pressure bladder. The therapy wrap may be adapted to compensate for conditions that normally cause kinking of the wrap or buckling of the fluidic channels. Also disclosed are methods of manufacturing the wrap and methods of administering a temperature-controlled treatment to an anatomical body part.
