COMPUTER VISION AND MAPPING FOR AUDIO APPLICATIONS
Systems, devices, media, and methods are presented for playing audio sounds, such as music, on a portable electronic device using a digital color image of a note matrix on a map. A computer vision engine, in an example implementation, includes a mapping module, a color detection module, and a music playback module. The camera captures a color image of the map, including a marker and a note matrix. Based on the color image, the computer vision engine detects a token color value associated with each field. Each token color value is associated with a sound sample from a specific musical instrument. A global state map is stored in memory, including the token color value and location of each field in the note matrix. The music playback module, for each column, in order, plays the notes associated with one or more the rows, using the corresponding sound sample, according to the global state map.
MUSICAL INSTRUMENT TUNER, MUSICAL PERFORMANCE SUPPORT DEVICE AND MUSICAL INSTRUMENT MANAGEMENT DEVICE
The musical instrument tuner includes: a sensor device that is attached to a musical instrument; and an operation device that is able to perform wireless communication mutually with the sensor device, in which the sensor device includes an acceleration sensor that has at least two detection axes, frequency detection means for detecting, as a detected frequency, a frequency of a vibration of musical sound generated through an operation of the musical instrument based on an output from the acceleration sensor, and sensor-side communication means for transmitting transmission information including information regarding the detected frequency to the operation device, and the operation device includes operation-side communication means for receiving the transmission information transmitted from the sensor device, display means, and control means for generating tuning information of the musical instrument and causing the display means to display the tuning information based on the transmission information received from the sensor device.
Methods and systems for overlaying and playback of audio data received from distinct sources
A system that is distinct from a remote server and distinct from a client device receives, over a first communications channel, a first data stream for a first media item. The system receives, over a second communications channel, from an application at the client device, a second data stream for audio data that includes vocals provided by a user as the first media item plays. The system measures a latency of the second communications channel and overlays, with the first media item, the vocals provided by the user as the first media item plays to generate a composite data stream. The overlaying comprises offsetting the first data stream from the second data stream in accordance with the measured latency of the second communications channel and combining the first and second data streams in accordance with the offset of the data streams.
ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT, DEVICE, SYSTEM, METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An electronic equipment according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a reception circuit that receives a musical instrument digital interface (MIDI) message, time stamp information regarding an execution timing of the MIDI message, and offset information regarding buffering of the MIDI message; and a processor that controls the execution timing of the MIDI message according to the time stamp information on a basis of the offset information.
SCALABLE MULTIUSER AUDIO SYSTEM AND METHOD
Described are systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for wireless in-ear-monitoring (IEM) of audio. A system includes transmitter(s) configured to map orthogonal sub-carriers of a digital signal to narrowband receivers to form receiver-allocated audio channels, modulate the digital signal, and transmit the signal as an ultra-high frequency (UHF) analog carrier wave comprising the orthogonal sub-carriers to the nearby receiver. A narrowband receiver is configured to demodulate and sample the sub-carriers allocated to the receiver. Sub-carriers can be positioned orthogonal to one another in adjacent sub-bands of the frequency domain and beacon symbols and pilot signals can be iteratively provided in the same portion of the frequency domain for each channel. The receiver can use non-data-aided and data-aided approaches for synchronization of the time domain and frequency domain waveforms of the received signal to the transmitted signal prior to sampling the allocated sub-carriers.
OUTDOOR MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS HAVING SMARTPHONE-INTERACTIVE FEATURES AND SMARTPHONE STAND
An outdoor musical instrument, such as may be installed in a playground or other public outdoor recreational area, includes a machine-readable code. The code is readable by a mobile computing device, such as a smartphone or tablet, and, when read, furnishes the device with one or more interactive functions relating to the musical instrument and that provide enhanced play opportunities. The musical instrument may also include a stand configured for a user to place the device after reading the code in order to utilize the interactive functions while playing the instrument.
External controller for an intelligent cable or cable adapter
A wireless controller that allows a musician to wirelessly switch between audio effect presets, loops, and/or songs which are stored in a specialized audio/instrument cable or adapter. The wireless controller can be located in the same place as (or incorporated into) a digital guitar tuner on a guitar headstock allowing the musician to operate the wireless controller in a familiar location while switching between audio effect presets, loops, and/or songs by tapping on small buttons.
SYNTHESIZED PERCUSSION PEDAL AND DOCKING STATION
Methods, apparatus, and a system (collectively a “platform”) are disclosed for facilitating, enabling, or enhancing the creation, control, and playback of digital audio loops or parts. The method may comprise playing back a first midi segment of a song, the first midi segment comprising a first midi sequence repeated a predetermined number of times, transitioning to a second midi segment of the song after the first midi sequence is repeated for the predetermined number of times unless a first foot-operable switch is triggered, receiving a first activation command during the playback of the first midi segment and in response to the first activation command, modifying the predetermined number of times the first midi sequence is to be repeated wherein the first activation command is triggered based on, at least in part, a duration and frequency of a user application of the first foot-operable switch.
