System and method for automatic drumming
A system and method for automatic drumming. A MIDI decoder (1) receives MIDI serial data in real-time, decodes said MIDI serial data to obtain playing instructions, and signals at least one actuator (2) to strike at least one drum according to said decoded playing instructions. User inputs for selecting the MIDI channel and assigning MIDI notes to drums may be provided. The intensity of percussion may be controlled by the MIDI velocity and may be overridden by the user at the MIDI decoder. The at least one actuator may employ a solenoid and comprises features to mitigate latency between the MIDI serial data received and the drum hit. The at least one actuator may comprise a clamping or securement means enabling fast and convenient repositioning thereof. The at least one actuator may comprise means for substitution of a percussion implement, such as a drumstick, brush, or mallet.
Intelligent cable adapter digital signal processing system and method
A specialized audio/instrument cable adapter with built-in digital signal processing capabilities that adds user-defined audio effects (such as reverb, delay, chorus and/or distortion) from within the cable adapter itself to affect the sound generated from an instrument or microphone such that the cable adapter (with a instrument/microphone cable) is the only connection needed between the instrument or microphone and an output device (such as an amplifier, PA, powered speaker, music mixer, or a recording device). The audio effects used by the cable adapter can be changed via (i) an app from a smartphone, tablet, computer or other electronic device; (ii) a wireless controller that attaches to the instrument; (iii) a pedal, and/or (iv) any other type of wireless controller that has the ability to communicate with a smartphone/tablet/computer or other electronic device.
SOUND PROCESSING COMPONENT AND STRING INSTRUMENT EMPLOYING COMPONENT
A sound processing component applied to a string instrument for providing multiple playing forms and a MIDI function. An acquisition module acquires vibration information of multiple strings and outputs analog signals, and a first amplification and filter module amplifies the analog signals and filters the analog signals. A first conversion module converts the analog signals into digital signals, and a processing module identifies playing information of the digital signals, converts the digital signals to MIDI data based on the playing information, converts the MIDI data to audio data, and add audio effects for the audio data. A second conversion module converts the audio data with the audio effects into analog audio signals, and a second amplification and filter module amplifies the analog audio signals, filters the analog audio signals, and transmit the filtered analog audio signals to a loudspeaker. The string instrument is also provided.

SYNTHESIZED PERCUSSION PEDAL AND LOOPING STATION
An apparatus for facilitating control of midi-sequence generation is disclosed. The apparatus may include a midi-sequence module configured to store a plurality of main midi sequences, store a plurality of fill midi sequences, and playback a plurality of main midi sequences and the plurality of fill midi sequences. The apparatus can also include a first foot-operable switch configured to operate the midi-sequence module, an instrument input, and a looping means configured to record a plurality of signals received from the instrument input, generate a plurality of recorded loops associated with the plurality of recorded signals, store the plurality of recorded loops, and playback each of the plurality of recorded loops. The apparatus can also include a second foot-operable switch configured to operate the looping means.
Stick Controller
A stick device that includes a base and a tip end, and a tip secured to the tip end of the stick, the stick tip including a sensor. The stick including the base thereof, and includes at least one control button, a communication element, and a processor in communication with the at least one control button, the stick tip and the communication element. The processor is configured to receive a signal from the stick tip and to generate output to the communication element. The output so generated includes a signal that specifies a sound file selected by operation of the at least one control button.

Beat recording pen
A beat recording pen for the recording and editing music and while serving as writing instrument. The device includes a retractable writing instrument disposed in an elongated shaft designed to house a power supply designed to provide electrical power to a transceiver that can transmit and receive digital signals to and from a connected mobile device or computer. The beat recording pen further includes an impact sensor that can detect an audio input signal of an impact event and convert the audio input signal into a digital signal. A micro-controller is disposed within the pen and can record the converted audio input signals detected by the impact sensor and interface with a software application installed on a connected mobile device or computer.

PIANO TEACHING SYSTEM
A method, system and associate peripheral device for remotely teaching piano. The device (13/23) comprises a plurality of indicator LEDs along its length for arrangement/alignment across a student piano keyboard (11). When a key is triggered on a remote piano keyboard (21), e.g., by a teacher, one of the LEDs lights up at the equivalent key at the student piano keyboard. The system also allows for playing notes from the student or teacher piano keyboard, communicated over the internet, at the teacher or student piano keyboard and vice versa.
